My stairs needed something… so I decided to purchase these. They look good and work well. My only complaint was when removing the plastic film on the back, it sometimes gets stuck… and taking off the smaller bits was kind of a pain. Other than that, they’re great. No adhesive, but they stay in place (even with a hyper dog running up and down) and are easy to clean.

These are great replacement treads for my stairs! They cover a wider area than my old ones that were wearing out did, and provide a good grip for my large dog……he is the reason I covered my oak stairs…..so he won’t slip……and, I have found myself feeling safer if I am in stocking feet that can also easily slip on wood. The material of these treads feels well-made and has less nap, so easier to keep clean and free of dog hair!! Glad I got these!!

Provides safety for people and pets
I really had no idea what stair treads were for until one day my puppy had slipped down the stairs. I was going up to the loft/game room and she had followed me up. When I went back downstairs, my puppy enthusiastically rushed ahead to follow. However, because the stairs’ wood finish was polished and slippery, her little paws couldn’t get traction. I had to rush down the stairs quickly to catch her before she would hit the ground hard. It was scary.After I installed this product on the stairs, they are much safer for my puppy to go up and down. Not only do they provide traction needed but they also cause her to slow down. Only thing I didn’t like was getting a measuring tape and centering each stair tread onto each step which took some time.
