Extra Large 2 Gallon, Airtight Lid, Wide mouth for filling and scoping
This review is for a 2 Gallon Glass Jar with Airtight Lid. I recently got this 2 Gallon Glass Jar with an Airtight Lid, and it has exceeded my expectations. Itâs holds a lot and is perfect for storing my pasta flour, but you can also use it for sugar, rice, cereals, oats, or macaroni. The sturdy stainless-steel handle makes it easy to transport, even when it’s full. The wide mouth design allows for effortless filling and scooping, which is a huge plus especially when Iâm scoping messy flour.

Top seal holds
I love to make refrigerator pickles or jalapeno pepper rings every fall and scramble for a jar large enough to hold everything, this jar is perfect. The lid seal seemed to leak initially but I opened and wiped the seal so it was dry then turned it upside down and no leaks. I shook it and tried anything to see if it would leak again and it didnât so Iâm very optimistic of using this for canning season this year.This was boxed very securely with padding all around and arrived quickly. The height is 15 inches so for me it will fit in my one refrigerator but not the other so wanted to make sure if needed I could lay it down. The top opening is 4 1/2 inches so this can be used for dry storage with the ability to use a measuring cup to remove what is needed.

Love this Jar!!
I needed a glass jar that sealed well to make lemoncello and this is perfect! The size is great and the metal latch is well made, not cheap or flimsy. What I like best is that it is tall and thin, but still has a wide mouth. Even though it holds 2 gallons, it doesn’t take much counter space. Great find.

Solid storage jars
This review is for a 2 gallon jar with a mason jar style flip lid. I also ordered the same jar from the same company with a screw-on plastic jar style lid for comparison. Photos will show both (sorry for the messy kitchen :).Both of these jars are excellent quality. The body seems identical between them. The difference being the lids.For this one the mason-style flip lid is going to be best for you if you want the tightest air seal or you want a rubber gasket material rather than plastic. Decide based on the type of material you’ll be storing. This review is for a 2 gallon jar with mason jaar lid. I also order the same jar from the same company with a glass mason jar style lid for comparison. Photos will show both (sorry for the messy kitchen :).Both of these jars are excellent quality. The difference being the lids.For this one the screw-on plastic is going to be best for you if you have problems dealing with mason jar style flip-up lids or you want plastic as the sealing material rather than the rubber gasket on the mason jar style. Excellent Quality
There is nothing confirming it is tempered glass. It would be perfect for sun tea or great for dry goods storage, it is a very good quality jar. It has a large capacity. Very heavy. The lid is easy to secure and has a good seal

Wouldnât risk boiling hot water
This jar is beautiful and the lid is easy to secure. The gasket is removable from the glass lid so it can be thoroughly cleaned, but I wish it came with an extra. The glass is smooth and clear but there is a distinct seam running vertically down 2 opposite corner-edges. This makes me wonder how the glass is constructed and whether it will withstand boiling hot water poured into it – there is nothing on the bottle itself, nor included as a flyer inside or even printed on the box anywhere to confirm it is tempered glass. Given that, I am not going to use it for heat-brewing tea, although for sun tea I think it would be perfect. Iâve never really liked the idea of âbrewingâ inside plastic in the sun – UV rays are the enemy of plastic, so a glass jar like this, with a seal-tight lid – perfection.My picture shows the jar next to a traditional milk gallon jug, and a 1-gallon glass jug that came with apple cider in it. This jar is pretty tall so it might be tough to fit in some fridges – it doesnât fit in ours anywhere and I wouldnât risk breaking a fridge door-shelf even if one of mine would fit this. It doesnât.This will be great for dry goods storage, or maybe sun-tea this summer. I like that there are two sets of measurements so you can monitor the current amount inside. The lid is fairly sturdy, but the metal is pretty lightweight so Iâd be gentle using it. The handle has a thin tube sleeve that rotates so holding and carrying it is more comfortable than just the metal rod. The entire jar weighs just over 6 pounds, so with 2-gallons of water in it it will be heavy. In addition to the faint seam-lines there are a few tiny imperfections in the glass but Iâm content to use it as I mentioned above.

Large, good quality, heavy duty
Although I’m not altogether sure what I plan to use this for, it is a very good quality jar. It is very large. Large capacity. Great quality. Very heavy. Well-made. Very good seal.

Huge!
Fantastic jar for all types of storage. I use mine to store laundry tablets in my laundry room, and it fits a Costco sized container of Tide pods. Easy to open, keeps everything sealed tight. Great value for the money and aesthetically pleasing. It would look great in a farmhouse style pantry.
