I cant tell you how many times my toddler has slammed the pocket doors while opening or closing and multiple times fingers have enjoyed the results of it. This kit was perfect and allowed us to remove that huge issue of potentially getting hurt. Only thing was to remove the entire assembly and add this kit. The doors now close softly and slide in and out perfectly. Definitely recommend to anyone planning to do pocket doors. No one likes to hear doors slamming and putting cracks in your walls.

If you have pocket doors or sliding bypass doors that use Johnson Hardware tracks, you might want to consider these to upgrade them to be soft closing. I’ve installed a number of Johnson Hardware pocket door and sliding bypass door kits, and they do make quality hardware, though the soft close mechanisms are a bit pricey, especially since you need two per door (at least if you want it to be soft open/soft close. I would be hard pressed to spot the difference between the Johnson Hardware soft close mechanisms and these mechanisms.I tried them on one of my door tracks and they fit just fine; the rollers spin smoothly, and the soft close mechanism also operates smoothly. While I can’t vouch for longevity, these seem to be built well, so I hope that they hold up over time.
