Powerful fan!
This remote control 42″ ceiling fan has some serious power! This is the first time I have installed a remote control powered fan like this with a receiver box that hooks up to the existing cables. The provided instructions were really clear and easy to follow. The hardest part is trying to get the receiver to lay in the motor area while trying to attach it to the base plate. I would recommend having someone help hold the motor during this step as it is hard to do with one hand. Once the motor portion was attached to the ceiling it was fast and easy completing the installation. The fan has 3 blades and an led light panel. It comes with a remote control as well as a holder for the remote that can be attached to the wall. The fan portion has six speeds. For the amount of air this pushes, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. The top speed was blowing papers all over my son’s room! The remote has a function that allows you to change blade direction which can help with cooling/heating depending on the time of year/temperature. It also has a sleep setting and a timer function. The light has its own controls on the remote that allow you to turn it off or on independently from the fan. The light has three color modes warm, cool, and neutral. It also has a dimming function which allow you to adjust the brightness of the light.It did come with a ding in one of the fan blades that is worth noting. I did not deduct a star on my rating, however, as it is fairly small and when I colored it with a sharpie you don’t notice it is there. Plus, the fan works so well that it didn’t matter to me or my son, but thought I would make note of it.

great for a small room
This is a great fan for a small room. The blades are short and it provides great air flow. The light is really dim even at its brightest. I like to see what things big or small are on my floor when I am vacuuming and the light on the fan do not provide sufficient lighting for me to do that, but I am glad my vacuum has a light on it. The fan is quiet and you would not notice that it is on because it is so quiet.

Good Air Flow & Quiet
The DC motor runs impressively quiet even at max speed, and having three different light temperatures is actually pretty useful for setting different moods in the room. My only small gripe is that the remote could be a bit more intuitive to use, but once you get used to the button layout it works fine.

Super easy to install
After replacing my old fan (took about 15 minutes) this worked wonderfully. There was no wobbling and it was silent even at higher speeds. It was very responsive to the remote. I am concerned that if I lose the remote though, there is no way for me to change the settings other than the current default mode with lights on and off.
