Shoo fly don’t bother me!! Although we tested the fans, I cant say how well they repeal flies/gnats. I did turn them on and the blades moved slower than I anticipated BUT this is a good thing as there aren’t suppose to and still will work as they should. This is also a good “safety” feature as the blades are soft and will not cut or hurt a young child if touched. Don’t have to worry about the wind blowing items from the table and also provides somewhat of a decorative piece as well. I was at a picnic and the host had these and they worked, so I had to get my hands on some for upcoming BBQ’s. Can’t wait to use them.

these will be great when the actual real flies are back
Hard to review this time of year since the flies are few and far between, not completely gone though. I’ve had others in the past so I’m familiar with how they work and these will be great. They do not spin super crazy fast but they don’t need to, they will be effective. The option for the LED lights is cute, maybe that will get used, not sure. I also like that they are rechargeable instead of battery operated – soooo much better. There’s a hook that you can use to hand these upside down (like from an umbrella or something) which I would use if I had one to hang from. I also think it’s clever that they collapse and expand – very helpful for storage. One of the ‘blades” was a bit bent the wrong way but I think it’ll be fine after a bit of reshaping in the box – but overall I am pleased with these. They will get alot of use in our backyard.
