These have a full-fledged elastic band around the hem. A thick strip of elastic that holds well around the edges. The cloth is a thinner poly type material with a little stretch. I like it being thin less movement and potential for folds and gaping. I have not washed one yet, but they look like they will withstand a washing machine. I will not machine dry mine, probably hang them out. We have occasional summer parties where we bring out some older tables. These will be great to make everything look clean and neat. You don’t notice them on my white tables until you touch the surface.
