Assembly was a pain
This shelf has a great look and seems sturdy. I’m well practiced in furniture assembly, and even still, putting this shelf together was a beast that took a whole evening. Some of the holes didn’t match up exactly to fit the pegs or were too small. I was able to force it together (not recommended) and it turned out fine. The look is great; assembly was not.

Tall and sturdy
I like my shelves like I make my men, tall and sturdy. On a real note this is an amazing bookshelf. Itâs easy to put together, even for someone who somehow always misses a step. I put it in my boring bathroom to block my roommateâs kids from entering my bathroom and destroying another one of my makeup pallets. Now my bathroom is lovely and safe. ð®âð¨ absolutely recommend!

I do like this
A little weird to put together , I lost patience and did not install the brackets at this time , maybe later. It is the size I needed and is good for what I needed it to be used for . If you have kids or animals I would be sure to use the brackets to make it sturdy from knocking into it . I would buy again .

Terrible materials and incorrect labels
Trying to put together this bookshelf will leave you with splinters, metal shavingâs, and a deep seeded self loathing. Had to give up half way through because I realized the wood is warped and I donât suck at furniture construction (I used to work at a job where furniture assembly was part of my job)Parts were missing labels and they decided to save cost on plastic bags and put multiple types of screws in single bags leaving you digging through sharp objects.

I’d rather assemble products from that Scandanavian company
It’s sturdy. That’s why I gave it 3 stars. The paint finish looks like a white wash. A couple of the holes for dowls were partly painted over, but thankfully I had the right size drill bit in my toolbox. Some of the holes don’t quite line up if they’re not 100% perpendicular to the frame. That’s easy to mess up because you’re just screwing posts into pre-drilled holes in wood, not something threaded. None of the resulting joints are precise. The screws included are easily stripped and I had to use plyers to tighten a couple of them. The blocks you’re supposed to use to make it freestanding aren’t drilled deep enough and both split. I got out some wood glue and clamps, but I think I might take them off and just attach it to the wall because these ‘feet’ will make it stick out too far from the wall. And, the thing I dislike the most is that the top shelf overhangs the next one down. I bought this thing so my cat could get to a high spot she likes and this is going to make it more difficult for her to climb.

I was initially worried about ordering such a large shelf from amazon since I never have before, however after it came and was assembled it looks great! The shelf looks exactly like the photo which I couldn’t appreciate more. Its also extremely good quality in my opinion for a great price. 10/10 recommend especially for anyone worried about ordering it because I was in your place not long ago.
