I cook with a lot of root vegetables like African yams, yuca root, and taro, so I wanted something it’s but could also cut through that and these do! Cut through frozen deer meat as well with some muscle and slicing.

This is a full knife set with stand and other assorted pieces. The stand is pretty weird though, unlike any knife block I’ve ever seen. It’s kind of fanned out, and the knives hang on the wire top so they are fully visible behind the plastic block. This would be a great first knife set for someone moving out on their own to college or their first home, and a cheap set for a wedding gift if they don’t have a more expensive option on their list. This will be used as a gift. The knives are sharp and well balanced, though I didn’t use any since I’ll be gifting this set. The insert says they have a non-stick coating on it, which is different than any knife I’ve ever used. Hopefully who we gift this to this Christmas has space on their counter, as this appears to take up twice as wide as a regular block but it is thinner so should fit up against a wall and give more counter space back.
