Great Container
We purchased both this version and the plastic version. Go with the glass! This does exactly what it is supposed to and looks very nice if that matters to you. Here are the two main differences between the versions. First, the fork….with the glass version it clips under the lid so there is no extra piece to hold it in. With the plastic version there is a clear part that covers where it sits. That just makes another thing to wash and it doesn’t stay in place well. Second, the clips on the plastic version are less sturdy than the glass version. The plastic is more brittle and therefore more prone to break. We had three and are down to one. This all took place in less than two years. Yes, the glass is heavier, but the quality is overall much better. With almost daily use, I’d definitely go with the glass.

Great product
This meal prep container has been such an easy and convenient way to pack all the essentials for our salads. It’s an all in one stop with less containers to bulk or weigh down your lunch bag. It’s easy to warm foods up as the top container can be taken apart from the glassware , it has a smaller container with a lid for salad dressing. Both the small and large containers seal easily. Never have I had salad dressing spill or have a hard time sealing the container. Food taste fresh because the seal is so good. It’s a no mess prep. I love the versatility of colors that this fitting for all.

UPDATED: Lid broke after 2 uses
Update: Bentgo reached out and sent a replacement very quickly. I’m still concerned about the durability of the lid but appreciate the customer service response.I love the size of this and the fact that it is glass. However both the latches broke after just two uses (used by my 55yo husband at his office, not by a kid throwing it around). Have not gotten a response from my inquiry to the seller a few days ago.

Current review:The customer service of Bentgo is wonderful, after seeing my review they reached out and had me send a p tire of the broken product and they sent a new one that arrived quickly. The new one has not had any issues as of yetPrevious review:This was the perfect, though a bit heavy, solution to prepping my salad the day before without it getting soggy. Unfortunately a few weeks into having it the latch on the side totally failed, more unfortunately it broke on a day I had beets, chicken, and pecans in the top tray. My once white bag is now splotched with streaks of a pleasant shade of pink. The chicken juice washed out but beets are less forgiving.I’ve been handwashing and air drying it the whole time so the plastic latch shouldn’t have broken so quickly. Without the airtight seal of the lid it becomes more or less useless for bringing lunch to work without it leaking.

This is a great salad container, my only gripe is the tabs the cover uses to secure itself to the glass bottom. On one of my containers the tabs broke off. I reached out to Bentgo, and their customer service got back to me right away. They stand behind their product, and have sent me out a replacement. Super happy with my Bentgo purchases. I’d look into getting more of their products if they were available in Canada
