These are uncomfortable. Cushions are stiff. The seat slightly tilts forward making you feel like you are going to fall off and the back of the seat is so stiff and straight like a board. Just not comfortable especially if you sit for any length of time on them.

Compact stools at a 'compact' price Thanks to ALL of the prior reviews and questions answered, much of the information has been very clarifying and helpful for us to decide on buying these. Because there is incorrect information in the description of these stools, we bought only 2 (1 order) at first to check them out, and given them some days. As the real dimensions and color fit exactly what we wanted we have just bought another order to have a set of 4 total.Here are important things from other reviews, plus our own:- Seat depth is 14'', width is 16'', back height is 12''.- weight capacity is 250 lbs., not 300 lbs. We have reported errors in descriptions to both Amazon and seller.- Correct info: adjustable height 24-32'', base ring is 15 1/4'', it swivels 360, protector ring.- Expected them really dark brown, but are not. Also, the seat is not bronze at all as mentioned in another review. The pedestal and base do have a shiny, bronze touch which looks very elegant.- Very easy to put together. Important to know something that instructions don't mention: to discard the black cap that covers one end of the bottom pole (it seems it is to protect the one end during shipping), otherwise it will get stuck into the other pole and mechanism won't work. We could figure it out by the diagrams as the cap does not appear in them, and as we could tell the cap would get stuck, so we used common sense I guess.- Mechanism works very smoothly. They are well finished, comfortable and seem well padded. They might appear unstable, maybe a bit wiggle when hopping on, but instead they are pretty sturdy. Although stool is light and easy to move, fact of the matter is that the pedestal poles are very heavy and thick.We give them 5 stars because they fit perfectly our needs and likes, well constructed stools, good quality, and can't beat this price. It has not been easy to find a stool with 15''base, brown pedestal with a smaller seat and a back rest. So happy to have found these on Amazon, they are nowhere else to be found, at least at this price. 6 stars when the description is correct!

Great Chairs!
The chairs are great. They are more comfortable than non-padded stools and wipe clean VERY easily. Super easy to put together and adjustable which means I can use them at my kitchen counter or at my kitchen table. They popped a little at first but I believe that was just the materials settling together from being assembled. It went away after a few days of use. We’ve had them for about 3 weeks now and use them every day. They well made and even safe enough for our 5 and 7 year olds. I don’t have to worry about them being tipped over easily. They are stylish and would be perfect if they were brown like I ordered. Seller is very professional and quickly addressed the issue of the color of the chairs the same day I contacted them and we came to a quick solution to make me very happy. They have wonderful customer service! I would absolutely recommend this seller and these chairs to anyone and would purchase from this seller again.

These chairs are a little smaller than I expected, but that’s not an issue. Personally, I feel like they are a great value and they look very nice. My husband and I have both been using them and so far find them very comfortable. I received them yesterday so I can’t say much about quality and how well they hold up yet. They feel great and they don’t look cheap. We have been looking for the perfect set for our counter and these work perfectly since you can adjust the height. Their very easy to assemble and the packaging was great. Everything was protected well in the package without using an insane size box.

These are great for the price
I ordered 8 in total, 4 sets of 2. One set had red tops at the base and they go a little lower than the others. The protective seal is actually under the base, not around it so it doesn’t show. This may or may not be a good thing. Time will tell but so far they aren’t scratching the hardwood floors. very simple to put together. All the bases came in in the dark color, I was concerned based on other posts saying they received chrome bases. The foot rests are a little to small and under the seat for a full sized adult to be comfortable in my opinion. Out bar is 12″ out from the counter and is traditional counter height, not bar height. These fit perfectly under them without showing at the top. They also go up all the way to fit any height child. The chairs themselves are sturdy enough for kids and youngsters. I do worry if heavier people spend too much time on them. I being one of them. I haven’t had issues so far, and maybe its because I know what they cost, I just worry they may not hold up. Overall they are a solid investment since we needed to purchase so many of them. We haven’t had any issues. The one con, the color is a little on the red-ish side of brown. I would have preferred to get the black had I known this.**********Update: 5 months later. The chairs have been champs! We have kids, littles and teenagers, as well as adults running through the house all the time. No one is gentle on these things like I tried to make them. The chairs haven’t had any issues. Our spare chair is still in storage. We use these most of the time for dinner and haven’t had a problem. Even at the cost, they have been a great investment. The color doesn’t bother me at all anymore and they haven’t scratched the floors in the least. most likely saved a few scratches. The only con, is that they can sometimes be unsteady if you aren’t careful sitting in them, but that is becuase of a tall center of balance.
