I use this in a closet, and the motion detection light works well and turns on as the door opens. The light is bright and a little more focused than I expected. The light is focused down, so doesn’t spread light to the sides as I expected from the product photos. Am not sure why they show the sides lit up on the pictures.Since it is downward focused it is very bright to look up at it. I would have preferred better spread/distribution of the light output.

I had tried M-S radio-frequency bulbs that looked like regular bulbs but they were too sensitive to exterior light. Whne I opened the door the light didn’t work during the day. I have an ordinary oblong closet about 10 by 2 feet (about 8 foot high). This Bonlux Motion Sensor LED, although could be brighter, works absolutely perfectly for my needs. Just slide the door open and it turns on even with bedroom light on.It ended my search for a closet light. Also bought a DiCUNO E26 Socket Extender Adapter so I could point the light downwards. Worked like a charm.

Great light for small spaces
This review comes a year after making the initial purchase. This light is a very good product for a small closet in a down-light application.The light is semi-directional as opposed to a multi-directional (like a standard light bulb) which lights up the entire space. In other words, it will not light a larger space.The motion sensor works well and has been consistent. I would recommend this for a small spaces.

Works great… but only for a few months
Like others, I was pleased with this purchase at first, but it mysteriously stopped working after just a few months of light use. Don’t waste your time and money on it.

Always light when you need it
I got this for my front door since it’s very dark and impossible to find my keys at night. It instantly converted a simple overhead porch light socket into a smart light that’s only on when I need it. At first I thought it was a bit too bright but it’s actually perfect. It’s really sensitive to motion and instantly turns on the moment I open the door to step out or approach the front door when returning home. Aside from the convenience and safety of being able to see what I’m doing in the dark, I think it’s a great security addition as well. If someone were to approach our door at night, they would immediately have a spotlight on them. This combined with our camera makes me feel much more secure. Installation was simple although I did have to get a screw in socket extension to make it fit correctly where it needed to. It’s been working perfectly for 2 months now.

Installed this light in the garage and it works great. The motion detection turns on the light consistently regardless of where the motion is in the garage. The light is also quite bright. Iâm very happy with this product.

Turns on from movement of door…doesn’t need body heat like infrared sensors. So light is on before you can even see darkness. Perfect for pantry room and furnace/storage room that had pull string bulb fixtures. Even with two in the one room they function as you’d hope. Just couldn’t be more pleased with these light bulbs! Bought the stronger bulbs that resemble 150 watts incandescent so very bright even in the corners as I wanted.
