Could be better
The brass on the knife handles is low quality as well as the handles, the brass is thin and on one knife it looks like aluminum. The block looks great but again feels low quality since it is made of several layers of wood glued together. The blades are sharp and appear good quality, I just wish the rest was up to par. This was a gift and I was embarrassed of the quality when it was opened Christmas day.

Rustic knives
I love these. They go really well with our rustic/industrial kitchen theme. The circles in the knife match the copper in our kitchen beautifully.I love that these are 5 knives. There arenât steak knives, scissors and all the extra that come with larger sets. Iâm a vegetarian, and we eat mostly vegan. I recommend it for other vegetarians. I only wish I could swap the bread knife for another non serated knife since I donât really eat bread.This is a must if you have a farmhouse/rustic or industrial kitchen with brown and coppers. I think it would go well with other colors as well. Pictures donât do much justice. It looks better in person. You can insert knives on either end of the block which I though was cool.These knives are very light, I know my other half who is very heavy handed doesnât care for them because of that, but still loves the way they look. This is our 3rd knife set for the kitchen- I cook a lot. I like these better than my vintage knives. Steel is slightly thicker that Wusthof , def not as thick as my old school ones- but nothing is now a days. Worth the $- which is on cheaper end for knives. Amazon seems to have best pricing on these. Iâll see how they hold up- but even if not Iâll purchase them again because I love the look so much.They are sharp and well packaged too 🙂

$120 well spend
After 30 years of using cheap knife sets from Target and Walmart, these knives are genuinely the best Iâve ever owned. Iâve had the set of 6 (W Series 59960) for about 3 months now and they are holding up very well, still looking and slicing like new. They feel well balanced, sturdy, and reliable. I got a sharpener as well but havenât had to use it yet. Iâll update this review if necessary, but I imagine they will sharpen up quite nicely. They donât feel as solid as Cutco knives, but these also donât cost half of a years salary. $120 well spent, in my opinion.

Quality at a GREAT price.
Was looking for a “NEW” 4 or 5 piece knife set with wood handles and found the Gangshan set and it included the block. It WAS exactly what I was looking for !! The quality of the knives are great. The design of the handles and the block itself really accent my kitchen well !!

Gorgeous and effective knives
These knives are absolutely gorgeous, and the block really stands out in the kitchen. It’s miles better looking than a standard block, and the knives are all delightfully sharp. The weight of them feels nice, and the wooden handles are reasonably comfortable, though not the best. As long as you aren’t looking for a million different knives for every specific use, these will serve you well through any kitchen situation and look great while doing it.

6 cuts and counting
I love these knives. Obviously you have to hand wash them and dry them so the wood maintains quality. They are super sharp and they look great on my counter. The major flaw is that the design makes it very easy to cut yourself when using the bigger knives. I thought I was just clumsy but my partner and I have both cut ourselves multiple times. The end of the 2 larger knives is extremely sharp and when handling vegetables it is super easy to get sliced by it even when being extremely careful. Iâve also cut myself just trying to put them away. Maybe weâre doing something wrong, but to me it seems like a design issue because Iâve used knives without this problem for decades. Ha! Just wanted to put the info out there. Iâll probably be trading them out soon after yet another cut this morning even though I love them so much. I do love the small knife for everything and will hold onto it!

Beautiful
Ordered these just before Christmas they got here with free shipping in two days. Just a beautiful knife set worth the money you definitely get what you pay for. The knives and the block that they are in are just gorgeous. I bought these for the wifeâs for a Christmas present and Iâm thinking of buying a larger set of the same brand they are very nice.

Great, sharp set of knives
These are such great knives!! I got them as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and he liked them so much I ended up getting myself a set. Great quality for the money, I definitely would recommend.
