I had a ceiling fan installed that had pretty much called it quits; the light didnât work, and the blades only worked in reverse. It was time to replace and modernize! This took a long time to accomplish due to the way the old one was installed, and the ceiling type and build (see pictures).I was surprised at the size of this fan once assembled, which was unexpected at the described 46â. The blades are lengthy, and the light is extra-large. This provides light for the whole room at 6000K full brightness, appearing almost like a fluorescent light. The 4500K is a definite winner at natural light. I find the 3000K warm light very soothing and comfortable. Regarding brightness control, dimming the light is very gradual, while brightening it is much quicker. No matter the dimness of the current light temperature, switching temperatures automatically restores the brightness to maximum. Interestingly enough, when the light is on night mode, there are left and right colour temperature buttons that switch between temperatures while keeping the night mode brightness.I chose the long pole for the fan ceiling distance as we have a 12 foot cathedral ceiling. This meant I had to use a step ladder to work on it. The ceiling has a wooden horizontal âboxâ that runs the length of it; the electrical junction box was almost unreachable, and I had to remove a bottom panel to get at the wiring. It was all very interesting, but the use of the terminal strip screws connector on the ceiling mounting bracket made wiring connections a breeze (as opposed to using twist on wire cap connectors). I used the video to install, as is much thorough.Once I got it all together, I was disappointed that there was such a wobble at fan speeds above 3. This is mostly due to the fan assembly sitting loosely in the mounting bracket. I thought about it overnight, and I decided to go back up the ladder and use tie-wraps to firmly hold the fan assembly in place. The user guide suggests using the balancing kit (which wasnât provided with the hardware package). One other reviewer used the adhesive weighted balancing pads and positioning them at different points above the fan blades until the wobbling is minimized. I donât want to make repeated trips up and down the ladder, and this sounds hit or miss until you get it right, so I believe securing the assembly to the ceiling bracket is the best bet.This fan looks and operates great (except for the wobble), and itâs a really nice addition to our home. Iâm rating it 4 stars because the wobble could have been better addressed by designing the bracket and fan assembly to connect firmly together.UPDATE 2 DAYS LATER: I put in the tie-wraps. This reduced the wobble but didnât eliminate it. I then decided to try the rubber weights by following the instructions. There were no point A or B markings on the fan blades as stated in the manual, so I tried following the advice of reviewer R. U. Shureuwantthis. I kept playing around with 2 weights on alternate blades and got the wobble to reduce more at fan speed 6. Then one of the weights flew off (I only had them partially stuck on), and the wobble disappeared. Iâm serious. See the video. I couldnât believe it either. I was so shocked I kept trying it at speed 6 in both forward and reverse intermittently over the next few hours, and yes, the wobble is gone. I have two tie-wraps on the bracket/fan assembly and one rubber weight on top in the middle of one fan bladeThe Universe is with me today, and I AM SO GRATEFUL. Blessed be. I really liked the very simple and modern design of this ceiling fan.It wasn’t anything over the top, and the simple looks really made it fit any room I wanted it to in my home, with out sticking out like a sore thumb.The installation was simple, and was nothing over the top or extra to what any other regular ceiling fan would be.For quality it was pretty good, it wasn’t extreme over enhanced quality, just well built and again simple.The lighting was great, With the settings you were easily able to find the best lighting setting to fit my needs. It can be very dim or extremely bright going from the yellow dim lighting to the bright white lighting.Fan strength was very intense on the highest speed. You could actually feel the air circulating if you were to stand under it. This too was adjustable and could be turned down to more of a soft fan.Overall very happy with this ceiling fan, my loves were in the design and the ease of installation. Things I think that really stood out were the fan speeds and power they produced, and the vast adjustability in the lighting.Can recommend!

I just installed this ceiling fan, and I’m really impressed! The installation was a breezeâthe instructions were easy to follow. As for the fan itself, the design is sleek and modern, with a minimalist vibe that looks great in any room. Itâs not bulky like some fans, so it adds a touch of elegance without being over the top. The motor is quiet, and it moves a good amount of air. Overall, itâs a perfect mix of style and functionâhighly recommend!

The 46″ ceiling fan with light is perfect for the large master bedroom or living room. The fan is reversable for use in both summer forcing the air downwards, and winter drawing the cool air up and helping to circulate the warm air around the room. It has a total of 6 speeds compared to your normal 3 speeds that others have giving you more choice to meet your needs. The LED light on the fan provides you with three different colour choices as well including warm white, natural white and cold white which is the brightest light you will have. The fan comes with its own remote control however, there is an APP that you can download onto your smart phone in order to control it from that as well. It is easy to install and there is an installation video that you can follow along with as well however, if you are not comfortable with installing ceiling fans or working with electricity then I highly recommend that you hire a qualified electrician to ensure proper and safe installation of the fan. I highly recommend this well made and stylish ceiling fan.

The SHIHOT 46-inch ceiling fan is proving to be a really good addition to my bedroom. The sleek black finish and modern design are perfect for the styling of my room. The light is amazingly bright; one can change the color temperature from cozy warm to daylight-bright cool, and it really makes the room nice. I found the fan motor to be quiet, even on the higher speeds, which is huge for those seeking peaceful air.Nice to have it controlled via remote or app, although the app requires reconnecting via Bluetooth each time-a Wi-Fi option would be a nice improvement. Installation was relatively easy, especially with the video provided, but make sure your ceiling box is secure, since this fan is a bit on the heavy side. There was a slight wobble on the highest speed, which I corrected with some balancing weights, and now it’s running smoothly.This fan provides great airflow, and it was actually very easy to install; that, along with numerous control options, makes the price a really good value in my opinion. I would without question recommend this if you’re in the market for a stylishly functional fan!

Mounting bracket does not fit
The mounting bracket is too large for most ceiling electrical boxes. This is the third fan I buy in the last two years. Al three came with a larger mounting bracket that doesnât fit the boxes in the ceiling in my two condos.
