Overall, I do recommend this deep-fryer. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and holds enough food for two people. My only complaints are it takes a long time to heat up and seems to turn off on its own if used for a long time. I fill the basin with oil to the max indicator, and it takes a good 15 to 20 minutes to get up to 375 degrees, which is what most of the foods require to be cooked at.

Worth it
Great little unit. I’ve done fried chicken, shrimp, empanadas, fries, homemade mozzarella sticks, and I’m sure a bunch of other things in this fryer. It’s great and I recommend it highly to anyone who’s tired of using the old stainless pot with oil in it on your stove that makes a mess. I take it in the garage, set up my foldable workbench, and get to cooking. Cleanup is easy. Wipe down the outer shell, clean the heating element by hand. Pot, basket, and handle I throw in the dishwasher. Oil dumps out very easily, I don’t spill any like I used to. Capacity is big. I’ve done 8 empanadas in it no problem. Less time spent cooking in batches is more time spent at the table with your family.

Works, but…temp?
What I like most is that I can use this indoors without my whole house smelling like grease. The filter in the lid seems to work very well! The oil temperature, though, is questionable for the highest 375 degrees. It takes a really long time to get fully heated, and the temperature light doesn’t seem to work correctly when at range. So far, my handheld temperature probe has not shown it to reach the top temperature at all. It does get hot enough, however, for the foods I have tried so far: chicken, chimichangas, poppers, and sopapillas. I like the size of the basket, as it provides plenty of room to use tools for turning items over. I limited my larger foods to a count of three and smaller foods to eight/ten. Fried foods are a treat, but not something we would eat daily, so it will take time to try more things. I think it is worth its cost so far. It is easy to take apart and clean. I would be more impressed if the temperature was more precise and the “ready” light worked better.

Love this deep fryer
I been frying in a pot for a while I bought this and Iâm glad I did itâs easy to use it keep the oil that the perfect temperature and thatâs what you want when deep frying and itâs super easy to clean also take it from me itâs a great fryer and a great price I recommend it.

Answer to my childhood issues with a deep fryer
Growing up I hated deep fryers, mainly because my parents never really cleaned theirs. They’d dump the oil and add fresh, after wiping out the gunk building up in the bottom. But that’s where they’d stop. That thing was disgusting to look at and use. So naturally as an adult myself it took me a while to even want to use one. And when I finally did, I fought with it to get it clean on a regular basis. Then I finally found one big enough it doesn’t take me 45 minutes to make enough fries for my family of 4 when we have burgers for supper. That was my main goal when I found this deep fryer. I can slice up 4 decent size russet potatoes for fries, cause we don’t do frozen fries in my house, and cook them all at once. Done. That was my win.It was time to change the oil out on this fryer, and naturally I am cleaning this thing when I get it empty. I get just about done pouring the oil out when I realize I love this thing even more. I didn’t know the oil container comes apart from the frame for easier dumping! Yea, figured that one out when it fell out of the frame onto me. Thankfully it had just emptied. This fryer is designed to come completely apart for easier cleaning. How I missed this when I unpacked the thing, I do not know. The heating element slides right off and is a separate piece, I knew that one. And the actual oil container just picks right up out of the frame. This way you can clean EVERYTHING with hot soapy water and a stainless steel scrubber to get all that nasty cooked on oil off. Of everything. After having used this fryer for two solid months, it looks brand new again. Insert snarky happy grin here.
