This moka is good except plastic part. I upgraded to a better moka put
The moka pot is good and working so far. Fast boiling and the water boiling container is stainless steel but the upper container is plastic and unhealthy combined with boiling hot liquid. To remediate to a better moka, I removed the plastic container and replaced with stainless steel from another pot. It is working so far. Do not try this at home if the items do not fit perfectly and leak proof.When this manufacturer is going to make an all stainless steel. Very good, but lost stars for durability and function glitch.
Makes an excellent, strong cup of coffee, looks good, functions well MOST of the time. Lid needs to be more durable. The hinges are thin/flimsy plastic and no matter how careful you are trying to remove the lid for cleaning, or cleaning with lid on (which will be slightly in the way), the hinges will likely break (mine did). Secondly, an important electrical fire prevention/safety feature randomly does not work. When you remove the pot after brewing, the unit is supposed to auto-shut off. Sometimes it does not shut off and you have to pay attention to this and switch it off manually. Luckily, there is also a power on LED indicator light so you can easily tell if the unit is on or off.
