We love our Cuisinart coffee maker and bought this replacement carafe a few months after purchase when we accidentally broke the carafe while washing it in the sink. Then we bought another one a few months later when again, we broke it while washing it. I’m writing this review for the third one we’ve purchased. Again, the glass broke while washing in the sink. All three times it has broken because it tapped against the granite countertop that is next to the sink and shattered. We aren’t super rough with it, but I would definitely caution anyone buying this to be gentle with it. We probably could have just bought a new coffeepot with the amount we’ve spent on replacements, I do find them to be slightly expensive, but at this point it has become a challenge to see how long we can go without breaking it.
