Complete door kit
My half bath downstairs has a door on it that at the narrowest is less than 2 feet. I’ve never seen anything but maybe a pantry or closet door that narrow. I am constantly bumping into the frame. I am in the process of remodeling the bathroom and decided a wider door is the way to go. Unfortunately, due to building constraints I can’t do a wider traditional door so that is why I went with this option. I will be able to put a wider door on the outside and maximizing the entrance width.I haven’t put the door up yet, but this kit has it all and everything needed. As others have noted you do have to locate and drill your own screw holes in the rail but that’s ok. That allows you put things where you need them and not come up with some other solution. It also gives you the ability to cut the rail to the length you need instead of again being caught in an awkward situation.The roller seems well made and roll freely. They are a 3 wheel design and not 4 but they do seem to be strong enough as long as you stay within the door weight specifications.I am very happy with this kit and will be glad once it is up and I stop running into the narrow door jams or door.

Change a standard door to a slider!!
We used this in our Scamp camper. It changed the bathroom door to a slider and freed up a ton of space!

Single piece track, smooth rolling action— very good unit.
My application was atypical, but after trying several other things, I wound up “overbuilding” something that I knew I could make work. Instead of using this on a barn door (as intended) I mounted it to a ceiling beam and have done a custom whiteboard/markerboard set-up with it. I have a lot of large-sized whiteboards– more whiteboards than wallspace, in fact! I was able to use a staggered pair of barn-door track to create a dream marker wall. With a little bit of lumber and creativity, the design was pretty straight forward. One set of marker boards sits against the wall, and then forward from there are the staggered tracks, from which hang more boards (in lieu of barn doors) which allows me to roll them right or left and maximize the amount of writing space needed.Because of my atypical needs, I wanted something of high quality meant to really hold up to usage, and so I settled on these… the metal channels are solid, the hardware is great, and assembly was easy enough! I’m satisfied.

Basic barn door kit, but good quality
I’ve installed a lot of barn doors, sliding bypass doors, and pocket doors and have come to like Johnson Hardware’s kits. This set is pretty much a clone of the Johnson Hardware kits at a bit more of a reasonable price. The rail is beefy aluminum that is straight and true. Since it’s aluminum, it’s easy to cut it to a custom length on a regular woodworking chop saw or even with a hacksaw if necessary.The rollers run smoothly and quietly thanks to ball bearings; the parts seem interchangeable with Johnson kits, so if years from now you need replacement parts and this company isn’t around, I bet Johnson will be.The only thing to note is that because the hangers are designed to be screwed to one side of the door, they will be visible. If you are using these on a closet, just screw them to the back of the door where it won’t be as noticeable. Regardless, you will still see the part of the hanger that is on the top of the door, so typically I will build a wood valance to match the door trim and have it hang down a little lower than the aluminum rail and that helps hide the top of the door and the door hangers.This kit has everything you need to install it, but it’s a fairly basic kit without any bells and whistles like soft-close hangers. However, I appreciate that the kit does include a floor-mounted hidden door guide (which will require you to cut a groove in the bottom of the door) since even Johnson Hardware doesn’t do that.

Works great
This sliding door rail was easy to install, I have experience in doing this type of thing, and works like a charm.Just find you ceiling joist and mount the bracket to them and then mount the rollers to the door and hang.The door slides smoothly on the rails and is very easy to open. Works great

Very well made and configured
This unit is nicely designed and comes packaged with all the parts needed, including optional wall anchors and two types of bottom guides. The mounting bracket requires holes to be drilled thru, but the alum material is soft, and so that is easily done using the proper drill bit. You can see in the pic that this was not a typical installation–too many details to go into here. Important detail is that I was very pleased with this unit and would not hesitate to buy another. Highly recommend.
