I bought this 6.5 Quart Saucepan to go along with an induction cooktop by the same company. To test it out though I tried it with cubed chicken breast on an electric stove, which in lesser quality pans usually causes hotspots and results in some chicken underdone, some overdone. I was impressed that the Duxtop pan heated evenly and the chicken was consistently cooked over the entire surface of the pan. When it came time to add a sauce and up the heat for reduction, it also performed well but I did need to watch the heat as not to have anything stick or burn, normal for a new pot though. The handles stayed pretty cool and I did not need to use pot holders. This is a fairly heavy pan for the money – about $27 as an Amazon Warehouse Deal and not sure I’d pay more than that considering the lid. The lid is VERY thin and does not sit exactly flush across the top of the pot; a little bend to it so it allows some steam to escape. Not a deal breaker for me. Attractive shiny finish is a plus – looks great on the stove. Deglazed and cleaned up with very little effort. Will update with induction cooking results.Overall, so far, pleased with this purchase.01/29/21 UPDATE: I have used this pan on the Duxtop Induction Cooktop to create an Asian stir fry with noodles. The pan heated quickly at the default setting which is 5; I raised the heat in increments to 10 and used peanut oil to help avoid smoking. It seared the chicken very quickly with barely any sticking. Some bits did begin to brown and coat the bottom of the pan. As I added four tablespoons of Thai fish sauce the brown bits quickly released and the pan deglazed very easily. The rice noodles did not stick until the very end when I allowed them to sit just a little too long while getting plates. Once the pan was empty I added a cup of water to it while it was still warm and the remaining noodles came loose easily. Cleanup was quick and only required a scrubbie sponge.

I have been using this pot for months now, and I really have enjoyed it. It is made of very high quality stainless steal, cooks food wonderfully, and is easy to clean. I love the size of it as well; perfect for boiling pasta, making soup for a crowd, etc. In my opinion, this pot is just as high quality as some Tramontina stainless steel cookware I own. I highly recommend it!

I was extremely happy to find this pot with exactly what I was looking for to replace an old pot that has served me well for the last 20 years. This is a very sturdy pot with the right thickness for even heat distribution and to help prevent scorching. Overall, this is a little bit more stylish than a restaurant pan would be, but not nearly as chic as many home cooking pots with big brand names. The handles on the side and top are fairly utilitarian but sturdy and they are properly riveted to the pot with no tendency to retain any debris, so easy to clean. The bottom is slightly rounded at the corners, making the bottom of the pot about an inch narrower than the top of the pot. This is probably a little more than is necessary to clean the pot, but certainly no inconvenience and there are no dead spots in the pot to get overheated or not mix well. The sides are perfectly straight, which as any cook will tell you is preferable to a pretty but curved/bulged wall that can overheat the sides and cause scorching on the walls. Therefore, you can max out your burner size on this pan without problems. This is attractive, but not what you’d call a pretty pot. The steel is polished, but not highly polished like with more expensive cookware. There is a slight grain in the steel, but not like a brushed stainless. The bottom also happens to be the exact same thing as the sides, and in my opinion, is easily the only real con for the unit. Because I have a gas stove with iron grates, this scratches the bottom just in regular use, which means I probably won’t use it for anything more than just family in a year or two. It’s already pretty marred up after about 6 months. If someone were using this on a glass top stove, it would probably stay looking very nice much longer. The lid is also pretty utilitarian and without much for style. But it does what a lid is supposed to do, is fairly solid, and sits on the rim of the pan perfectly. There are no steam holes or vents so a hard boil will make it vibrate slightly to let the steam escape.Overall, I would gladly buy this pan again and recommend it.

Tengo ollas mucho más caras que tienen la misma calidad que esta, hice una salsa que requería 10 horas en la olla y no se pegó nada. Voy a seguir comprando esta marca seguramente

My husband and I had certain criteria for any pots we bought–not too heavy, because they can be difficult to handle, and the *entire* pot must be able to go in the oven as well as on the stovetop, at any temperature up to 500F.This pot is all metal, including the lid, sturdy without being overly heavy, and heats evenly. So far, it cleans up like a dream–love the stainless steel finish. The handles on the pot itself stay cool during cooking, but the handle on the pot lid does get hot, as well as the rest of the pot. This is excellent value for the money, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We also have the 6 qt size of the same pot.

An absoloute bargain for whole-clad tri-ply construction of this size. The industry leaders, All Clad and Le Creuset sell similar 8qt stockpots for around £400, so the Duxtop 8qt at this price was a complete steal. The pot itself is sturdy and you can tell just by handling it how well its made and can foretell that this will last a lifetime, extremely durable and has a nice weight to it which further compliments its high end quality. The rivets are solid. The lid fits snug uptop which can help retain heat. Flat bottom means it is compatible for all hob types. The 8qt size is perfect for a small family.Con: It would’ve been nice to have measurement markings on the inside of the pot.

I waited until I was able to use this for several types of cooking before reviewing. This pot is a definite work horse. It heats evenly and I have had no problems with anything sticking or burning. You can lift the hot pot by the handles without potholders. Same for the lid. I noticed some reviews showing pitting, so I am careful (like with all stainless steel) to add salt to water after the water is boiling. I have made pickling brine, tomato sauce, pasta, potatoes, lamb stew for a pie, and I have used it with a basket for steaming tamales. It washes up well and still looks great. I did not expect such a high quality pot for the price.

For the price this is a decent piece. Great functionality and looks. Ideal for making soup, stew, curry and pasta sauce. The size is perfect for making servings 8+. Heats evenly and quickly, easy to clean and as long as you are conscious enough to stir the content periodically while stewing, food won’t stick on the bottom. The pot has good weight-substantial to be durible but not too heavy and clumsy for washing. The lid, as other reviews stated is a bit thin since it’s not a glass lid. It doesn’t bother me as I find it easier to wash and store. And mine is not crooked-it sits on top with a perfect seal. But I also own other sizes of pots with glass lids. If this will be your only primary large pot, you might consider buying one with a traditional glass lid. If you have other stock pots and want to buy an addition for multipurpose cooking, this is a great bargain.
