Easy to assemble HOWEVER… when you put the shade on the lamp, that piece that looks like a wheel spoke thing, points DOWN. The shade is substantial, it clicks into three brightness modes (although the bulb with it is still bright for my likeing, I will find another lower wattage.). It looks sleek, not tippy. I could have gotten another with a button you step on to turn on and off, but this is functional and rich looking.
