Extremely sturdy. Definitely get a drill to put it together though unless you want to waste 3 hours. Thankfully we got it put together in less than 30 with a drill..the height is perfect for our island and our son loves it so much I quite literally have to remove it and set it outside because he’s learned he can get up ANYWHERE basically lol it’s great though.

I thought the Stool Tower with multiple functions was a good idea for my toddler. However, unpacking the product upon arrival and starting to assemble the stool, I found that some wood pieces were cracked & split. I’m returning the damaged stool and ordering a different style.

This tower has a very solid construction, a nice finish, and rounded corners. While the instructions could be clearer, most of the assembly can be figured out from the pictures. Unfortunately, I had to drill six holes myself as they were not pre-drilled. This wasn’t an issue for me since I have a drill and bits, but it could be very inconvenient for someone without the necessary tools or if it was given as a gift. At this price point, I wouldn’t expect to have to do this.When unfolded to use as a desk, the seat is quite far from the writing surface. My 4-year-old grandson didn’t have a problem with it, but it might be an issue for younger children. If the seat/step was deeper or the cutout for the desktop not as deep, it would be slightly more useful. The “blackboard” is a piece of vinyl that I had my doubts about, but it actually worked well. Any remaining chalk left over after dry wiping can be removed with a wet paper towel. Overall, this is a very nice piece of furniture that should provide years of use. Without the need for drilling, I would rate it a solid 4 stars.
