Doesn’t slide
I’ve had my share of close calls in the shower even with a textured floor. Due to the textured floor the suction mats never stayed in place, and the soft spongy ones would always slowly slide forward. This mat, however, has been working absolutely perfectly since I got it. It grips my textured floor very well with its similarly textured underside. It’s narrow enough to fit any shower yet wide enough to provide adequate room for your feet. It’s got weight to it as well which helps keep it in place and helps reassure you that it’s secure and won’t slide. 10/10 would recommend.

Works well. Could be bigger.
This bath mat is one of what seems to be a rare few that does not have suction cups. It’s kept in place by the texture and weight of the material, along with the weight of the person simply standing on it. It works amazing well, though it’s certainly not as solidly immovable as many of the suction cupped mats. I like this mat because I can easily grab it from the tub and shake it off after each shower — without the annoying process of having to slowly tug up on other mats to release each of the noisy and potentially tub-damaging suction cups.I also don’t like the other suction-cup or “cushioned” mats since those feel squishy (and kinda creepy) on your feet. This mat feels solid and stable, and still comfortable.I purchased this mat in the “Beige” color, which somehow matches surprisely well with my “Almond” bath fixtures.Despite what other reviewers have stated, the size of the mat is spot-on exactly as advertized (28 x 14 inches). That said, my one complaint is that I wish it was a tad larger. Even an extra 2 inches for both dimensions would be helpful so that I’m not stepping off the edge of it.The seller indicates that the mat is machine washable. I would guess that’s true, but haven’t tried it. The mat is made of good quality rubber/silicone which is thick yet flexible. But it has some “heft” to it that I’m not sure I want banging around in my washer. I simply rinse it with the shower water each time and lay it over the edge of the tub to dry. Any dirt or other residue build-up can be easily and quickly wiped off.

Not at ALL non-slip.
I’ve tried at least a dozen non-slip mats on my standard American tub with the slight texture in the bottom that is supposed to be non-slip but isn’t. This expensive mat will go into the garbage with the others.There is nothing in this mat’s packaging to indicate which side goes down in the tub, but the seller’s photos here at Amazon seem to indicate that the side with the honeycomb pattern goes down. I tried this mat both ways with identical results: no grip at all.While standing in the middle of the mat, your body weight does hold this mat down, so it’s better than the bare tub, and it’s comfortable enough on the feet, but there is nothing at all non-slip about it. The mat moves around freely with movement of your feet. The mat actually never lays entirely flat because of the creases where the mat folds. Even worse, once you get soap on the mat, or you rinse shampoo or conditioner out of your hair, the surface of this mat itself becomes dangerously slippery – a major hazard for someone like me with a physical disability.I don’t take baths and I did not purchase this mat thinking that it would stay put in a water-filled tub, but I did try this mat in a filled tub just to see what would happen. As expected, it slides around the tub with no grip whatsoever.I give up on mats. I’m going to have to go with the peel and stick non-slip tub stickers instead. Don’t waste your money on this mat if, like me, you really need one that grips a slightly textured tub.

Perfect for a textured tub.
My new tub has a textured bottom supposedly to keep from slipping. It was slippery and I had a standard bath mat with the large suction cups that slipped around on my new tub. No one felt safe taking a shower, let alone takiing a bath.This mat is perfect. Lots of very, very small suction cups makes the new mat hold to tight to the bottom of the tub. And it folds up neatly to put away.I highly recommend this mat.

it is non slippery and easy to fold

Plastic is so hard was not sticking in bath tub it was flowing in the water. Thank God I didn;t fall
