Thinking this would be easy I started looking at folding table and found there are hundreds of them, at least. I spent hours comparing and could not understand why with the average price being in the mid-thirties why some were all the way up into the hundreds. I found a few that I liked and at first thought plastic seemed like a good idea for many reasons but then started realizing the bad reasons, like the hinges and locks were plastic as well. That sounded like a bad idea. And some had extendable legs, which actually most of them have, but the extenders were locked by little plastic pegs that could easily shear off under any weight at all.THEN I FOUND THIS ONEWhen I first saw this one it reminded me of my great-grandmotherâs kitchen table. If you like retro youâll love everything about it. But I was looking for practical benefits, not how it looked. This model is made almost entirely of strong lightweight aluminum, with a smooth formica top. All of the hinges and locks are strong metal. The legs are substantial metal and they use a very strange, yet effective way of changing the height. You might not like it if you change the height constantly, but who does that? What they do is include two sets of four extra legs in two different lengths. You can use one set or both to change the height by slipping them into the four legs that are already built into the table. That make them remarkable strong, far more so that any other brand I saw. The extender legs have tips with adjustable ends so you can compensate for uneven surfaces â something I didnât see on other brands.HOW STRONGAll of whatâs just been said answers how strong, this table is far stronger than expected and makes a perfect side table or perhaps a childâs picnic table. On that subject, the story is the same about ordering anything at this site. Measure it before you hit the buy buttons. This is not a dining table for your kitchen, it is described very clearly as small, itâs the fourth word in the title. I had a particular use for it as a side table to hold my scanner that I use occasionally in my office, then fold it up to the smallest possible size for storage. Now that I see it the size is perfect as a side table for condiments at our backyard barbeques, or camping trips. There are some other models with the same size work surface but they donât fold in half like this one. Donât worry, this is plenty strong.YES NO MAYBEI have my finger over the stars button trying to decide between four and five. The reason is that they didnât include the storage netting shelf, although they included two of the four hooks for it. Iâm going to try to contact them but they didnât include an email address with the instructions (which by the way are pretty well written). Iâm going to go with five stars because it earned it and I hope they read this and reach out to me about that missing shelf.

Mixed Feelings: Handy, but not super sturdy or well-designed
I have MIXED feelings about this little table.Things I LIKE about it include: — It folds up pretty small when not in use — it stands up to a fairly respectable 22″ high — it’s got enough space to serve as a coffee table / food rest outsideThings I”m NOT so fond of about it: — It PINCHES me almost every time I fold it… from some different place every time! ;-( (eventually I’ll get sufficiently used to it that it might cease to be a problem?) — It’s really not very sturdy… I wouldn’t want to give it more than a couple kg of weight! — it’s a bit rickety… rather than having nice tight joints and feel when expanded, it wobbles a lot — For the price, I am just not sure it’s quite worth it! Maybe $15 or even $19, but not $30+So… Yes, it’s SOMETHING to sit my coffee or tea or wine on while I’m outside in the sun.But I think I’ll keep looking to see what else I can find that might work better

Bought this to replace one of those roll-up hiking/camping tables with the spindly legs that took too much time to setup and often failed. This table fits the space I have for it, sets up quickly, and is a solid unit.

Assembly was a breezeâjust snap the lower legs in place.I was pleasantly surprised by its sturdiness, especially considering how lightweight it is.
