I now have two of these jars. The first was for granola, kept on the counter top. Discovered my brown sugar, wrapped tightly in the original plastic bag and placed in a plastic container with, I thought, a tight fitting lid, had turned to stone. So I ordered this jar, which was delivered quickly and very protected. I placed my brown sugar rock inside, put the end slice of bread in with the sugar. It has a great snug fitting lid with a seal. Left overnight and this morning it was returned to soft brown sugar. Can’t wait to see if it remains soft if the piece of bread is removed. I love the way these look on my counter. Good purchase.

I like it! It has a silicon gasket that seals the contents. It’s heavy glass–it’s very sturdy.I use it for my orange slices candy and they stay soft and fresh. It’s just right for that.

The jar was the perfect size for my sourdough starter. Easy to open. My only complaint is the the seal is made with a hard plastic ring instead of a flexible rubber seal. But it still seals closed.
