Hollow, but works well
The pictures look like a good wood simulation, but the shelves are hollow and feel cheap.The stand is ok.It is simple to put together and works well. I wouldn’t likely buy it again for the price paid. I would make a shelf from real wood.If you live in places that get a lot of snow, the plastic shelves are good.I left the bottom shelf off and can store tall rain boots and motorcycle boots underneath. It is convenient.

Very sturdy-highly recommend
This bench sits in my entryway so I can sit down and put my boots on. It is solid, which is exactly what I was looking for. It looks nice, too. It was easy to assemble as all the holes lined up perfectly. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Beautiful bench
The quality of the wood and metal is excellent. Very sturdy. Just what I had been looking for to put in my foyer. And at 82 I was able to assemble it alone!
