I got this because I wanted a sturdy bed frame that didn’t need a box spring and still had a clean, simple look. This bed shipped quickly, arrived well packaged, and construction was fast and relatively simple. However the slats are not the full width of the bed. Look at the photos, see that middle section? The slats are joined at that point with a plastic join. I was too afraid to even lean on the slats as they really did not appear to be very sturdy. I’ve got the mattress on top now and, with the weight more evenly distributed, I was happy to lie on it, but I’m still concerned about this construction. The bed is in a guest suite, and I will update my review after they have visited. If it survives two octogenarians, I’ll report back happily. If it doesn’t, I’ll knock off another star. Apart from that one concern, overall very happy. For clarity, I bought the bed without lights.
