Alas after twelve years my expensive over the stove microwave no longer emits microwaves.
While the expensive stainless steel, convection oven, and overhead stove vent, microwave, lost its microwave function everything else works. That likely means the Magnetron has failed. It could mean the diode has failed too, but either case has too much labor involved to repair. I looked at having a new one installed, but those big box stores that do it require a specific vent size and refuse to do any modifications, so you can be left with a mess dealing with contractors. The good news is except for the microwaves themselves every other function works. I can even use the convection oven feature if needed. Still, I need the convenience of a microwave.Thinking about it a bit I remembered I have a large countertop oven on my prep table. This particular model fits perfectly on top. I bought a heat-resistant mat to prevent slippage of the microwave feet and installed it out of the box in five minutes. While much smaller and less powerful than my old unit, this fits most of the things I use a microwave for. Heating water, melting butter, small frozen dinners, reheating pizza and sandwiches, it does them all fine. The price of this was fantastic as it cost roughly one tenth of the cost of my old unit, and less than the trip charge a local repair facility would charge me to evaluate a repair estimate.I like the retro look and the simple controls although there is a bit of a learning curve. My old unit had mostly intuitive buttons, so selecting power levels and presets was easy. I never bothered with the manual on my old unit, but I’ve had to access this one a few times for the special timed cook, reheat, defrost and other settings. It’s not overly complex, but you do need some information. I laminated a card with the basic settings I’ll use and attached it with a magnet to my fridge. That should help. despite less power most things I’ve used it with cook nearly as fast and as complete as the old unit. Recommended.

Compact and still powerful
I just replaced my old microwave with this one, so I can’t speak to lifespan. But the price was great, and I looked many other places before coming “back home” to Amazon.I haven’t tried all the power settings yet, but everything seems easy to use. I like the fact it’s not a digital setup; I like the knobs and buttons that are easy to read. I’m getting older and have some eye issues, so I appreciate not squinting to see what I’m setting.It seems to have enough power, a wide variety of cook times, and the noise is low but functional. It beeps when done but not annoyingly loud. All in all, a great purchase. Oh, and it’s also the same interior size as my previous one, but a smaller exterior and the exterior is cute!

Awesome performance!
For those who have problems with shipping damage, this is my preference on how to avoid problems. When checking out, look and see if you have an option to ship in an Amazon box. This isn’t always the case, but it was with this microwave. Therefore, it will come packed in two boxes, and thus helps with the delivery guys throwing stuff around. Microwave was well packed inside original box.I LOVE this microwave. It is not loud, easy to operate. Love the brightness of the clock.For the reviewer that said the timer doesn’t work. Yes it does! No, your food won’t cook at the same time. That is not what the timer is for. The timer is to be used for anything that you are timing. I have for example my Dr. Harvey’s dehydrated dog food. After heating the water, then adding the food…it needs to sit for 12 minutes to complete the rehydration process. I don’t want to cook it, just time it while it is sitting. Timer helps with that final step.Love the looks. I am hoping it lasts. It did come with a 3-prong cord. I recommend it!

Updated: Very good product (despite company issues).
Bumped this rating up because despite my unsatisfaction with the company support, the oven itself is very nice. My âmust-havesâ for a microwave were:1) A +30 second button (not 60), which on this one is big and easy, in the middle of the knob.2) An actual handle on the door instead of a button (although the hinges feel a bit flimsy).3) Holds large dinner plates. This one holds 12â and yet the overall size is compact.Other nice features: The clock/display is white and extremely bright. The overall retro look (red) is very cool. The clock also can do 24-hr mode if you use military time.OLD review but still unresolved: The process for registering the warranty online is broken. To enter “date of purchase” it doesn’t let you pick anything later than 31 Dec 2023. I tried anyway because my receipt shows the correct date, but when I click “Submit” it just spins forever without showing any result or progress, and I don’t receive the email confirmation.

Almost a year and going well.
Simple programming no fancy program buttons. Once you adjust it does everything you need. Held up well for daily use after almost a year. Love the design.

Super classy, retro aesthetic. The red is super vibrant!! Works great, itâs definitely more powerful than what I had before. Big enough to do everything we need it to. Well built, easy to clean interior, relatively quiet and the print is bold and white so easy to read.
