Metal bottom
Just arrived and put together. Definitely bare metal for the bottom of the feet. Should have listened to the previous reviews. Hope seller makes it right by sending protective base for each pillar.

Love the tables but the instructions stink
First off when unpacking the very well wrapped three glass pieces I cut the box through the tape to life out! Seems normal.I found the instructional pictures (no words) were horribly unclear.Since the box of glass pieces has the top glass packed last, and pictures are confusing by not making it clear yet is best to unpack glass pieces and take out the top piece which is in the bottom of the box. The top piece has 4 round inserted silver pieces.You turn that over and insert the screwed in rod into the back of the pre inserted silver metal pieces.In essence you once r rods are inserted into the back of the top piece – you are building table with the top piece first. Screwing in rods.Sliding down the spacers and metal pieces accordingly and looking at the picture of the finished table indicates the spacing.It is actually easy if you pull out the table top from the bottom of the box first.I purchased 2 of them. They have very nice heavy duty glass with beveled edges. Also spacing of 3 layers creates a really strong sturdiness that will be reliable.I did what one should – open pieces and lay out the individual pieces for when needed, not realizing from pictures only top and bottom look the same!
