Tall, Heavy, Super Impressive!
These jars. Oh, these magnificent jars. They’re not just containers; they’re architectural marvels! I mean, 10.62 inches of glorious, food-grade glass. My cucumbers practically bowed in reverence when I placed them inside.Let’s talk about the weight. These aren’t your flimsy, easily-tipped-over, “oops-I-accidentally-shattered-the-whole-set” type of jars. No sir. These things are heavy. I suspect they could double as medieval weaponry. I haven’t tried hurling one at a castle wall yet (mostly because I don’t own a castle, and also because I value my windows), but I’m strongly considering it.The airtight lid? Forget it. Forget trying to get anything out without a serious struggle. My pickles are so perfectly sealed, they’ve probably evolved into a new, highly-fermented species by now. I’m tempted to call the National Geographic Channel. The “wide mouth”? Let’s call it “generously proportioned.” Perfect for that gargantuan jar of homemade kimchi your aunt insists on making every year. (I still haven’t forgiven her for the incident with the exploding sauerkraut, but these jars… these jars might be able to withstand it.)In short: If you want jars that are sturdy enough to survive a zombie apocalypse, elegant enough to grace your fanciest shelf, and secure enough to imprison your most rebellious pickles, then look no further. Just be prepared for a serious arm workout when you’re trying to open them. I recommend a set of industrial-strength jar openers…and maybe a chiropractor. Five stars!

Good size and design, but not 100% sure about quality, especially for the price
These jars are essentially the same size as a traditional half gallon mason jar (0.53 gallons), which is large enough to store a good amount of food. The square design is more convenient in terms of conserving shelf space than the round jars I already have. Favorite part might be that I can fit my large hand inside (Iâm 6â2â and wear a menâs medium to large glove), which makes it easier to clean. The mouth on these jars is wider than my existing wide mouth mason jars.Cons, the metal around the top which latches closed is on the thin side, and flexes a little. Comparing to my old jars of this style, I can see that the metal bands/latches on these are lower gauge and less sturdy. The metal latch is what holds the lid closed, so if it bends or fails to hold the lid tightly in place over time, the jar wonât seal. I have no concerns about the quality or durability of the silicone gasket, but because of the thinness of the metal Iâm not sure how long the latching mechanism will last or the seals will be dependable.

A great replacement for my decades-old jar
I’ve had a jar with this kind of lid for years, generally using it at Thanksgiving and Christmas for bringing homemade cranberry sauce to my sister’s place for the family gathering since the jar holds a lot but doesn’t leak–an important attribute when you’re transporting fresh cranberries cooked in a brandy sauce and being a tad liquid-y. But this past year, I noticed there’s a small chip on one side below the jar’s mouth, not affecting the ability to close completely, but worrisome nonetheless. So when I saw these glass jars advertised and looking very much like that jar, I thought it must be kismet–replacement jar plus a couple of spares. When the box arrived, though, I saw that one was broken, but two were still intact. Perhaps the three could have used some padding between them, like bubble wrapping. Nonetheless, I’ve got two jars that are plenty big for the amount of cranberry sauce I usually have to transport (and I typically use a padded, insulated wine bottle carrier to bring that cranberry sauce in the car). I’m happy with those two jars, one of which may begin to house pasta as shown. And if one of them chips somehow, I now have a replacement for my holidays sauce just in case!

Perfect for snacks or other pantry items
I like that these are taller rather than wider, taking up less width on pantry shelves. Iâm currently using them for snacks from a membership store, and those containers are already huge, and these jars held almost the whole package. Iâll be switching to sugar, flour and corn meal or various noodles when my new pantry is finished. Thick glass and the lids seal TIGHT, plus I like the look of glass jars, so these are a winning selection for me.

Good big jars
These are very nice storage containers. I like all things with swing top lids because you never lose the lid and it always seals well. These are no exception. Clear silicone seal. Stainless wire swingtop mechanism made from slightly thinner but stiffer wire than typical. It works well. All sharp ends are bent away from areas of potential contact. The jars have a good large volume. Clarity. The cut foam packaging ensures they arrive in tact. Good price.

Good for pickling
I got this to pickle all my veggies and for food storage. I like that it comes in a set of three. It’s not heavy like my other jars, so that is great. I am pleased with the wide jar. I’m pretty sure the metal piece will corrode as I had a similar jar with the same mechanism. I’m hoping that it doesn’t rust in the long run. Right now I am pretty pleased with product quality.

Storage savers and good quality
Good quality glass jars. Fairly tall. Great seal. Easy to clean but definitely get a brush. I use it to keep pickled foods, or baking ingredients. Overall love and constantly use.

Perfect For Food Storage
These “mason” jars are perfect for food storage. We are using them for oatmeal ( which can go stale very quickly ) and pasta. The size of the jars are large and big enough to hold quite a bit of food. The wide mouth allows easy access. The lids seal tightly and securely.Honestly, these could be used for any kind of storage.
