New lights, half the price, zero installation time
My old deck lights were dead. The solar panels were crusty and cloudy. I had bought two 4-packs at Costco 5 years ago. They didn’t have them anymore (shocker), so I was about to toss them when I checked Amazon. I not only found brand new fixtures, I found replacement solar modules for half the price. I had my doubts they would fit, but they were perfect. I don’t remember my lights being this bright!

Great addition!
These lights are perfect for our outdoor area. I wanted something that fit on the fence post and these look tailor made. They get good sun exposure during the day, so the light they put out after dark is wonderful. I do clean off the solar panel every few days because we get a lot of dust. Very easy to install and we appreciate the screws being included.

You’ll have to replace them often
After buying a set of solar lamps, it’s great that I can buy the lights separately, without having to replace the whole lamp. That alone is worth the price; but they don’t last long. Some already won’t turn on until I tap on the side of the lamp. The very sunlight that charges them will be their undoing, because the plastic on the solar panel starts to warp with the heat, until it can no longer charge. That’s why I had to replace the original lights; and you can see it’s a matter of time until I have to replace these again.

UPDATE: Well here we are. A month in and this is the second night in a row that the light on the left hasn’t lit up (today was a very sunny 90 degree day). 4-weeks, that wasn’t long for it to fail.Very nice lights. Not very bright, but that’s okay for me I didn’t want the brightness of regular lights because there’s a street light directly across the street. They’re small, but fit my house because my house is small (see pic). I installed one on each side of my garage door, again they don’t provide much light but I was okay with this because it was more for the aesthetics. Not sure how long they will last, last night one was VERY dim and the other wasn’t lit up at all despite it being a sunny (80 some degree) day. I’ve only had them up for a week now and as far as I know, last night was the only night they didn’t both light up fully. Overall, I am pleased as of now and would recommend.

Heavy Duty; not plastic or cheap looking.
I appreciated how well made these are- metal frame plus glass sides. Heavy duty. They brighten the area around the driveway where I park my vehicle so I have no fear when I return home at night. Good replacements. We will see how long they last. unfortunately, most of the silver panels are made of plastic and consequently get faded and donât recharge or some of the malfunction happens. I have other solar lights that are made out of glass. They donât wear out.Additionally, the lamps themselves are very attractive. Iâm glad I found replacements rather than buying a whole new set. However, they were a bit expensive but they fit each unit that I had. And they are a better quality than the originals.
