Yes, get these!
I recently purchased the Govee RGBIC LED Strip Lights, and I couldnât be more impressed! The 16.4ft length is perfect for adding accent lighting to my living space, and the included covers give the lights a sleek, finished look. The RGBIC technology allows for multiple colors to be displayed at once, creating stunning lighting effects. The app integration is super intuitiveâeasy to connect and control, with tons of customization options for both color schemes and patterns. You can also sync the lights to music, which adds an extra level of fun for parties or just relaxing at home. The brightness is fantastic, and I appreciate that you can adjust it to fit the mood. The adhesive backing is strong and holds the strip securely, even on textured surfaces. The covers also help protect the lights and give them a more professional look.Overall, this product exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for high-quality, vibrant LED strip lights, these are an excellent choice!

Best purchase I’ve made in a while
We had some costco LED strip installed, along with diffuser strip purchased at Amazon, and it’s been functioning with mediocre light strength and adjustability. I bought this with the thought that it might be an upgrade, and BOY was this a HUGE upgrade. Light is strong, and very programable, app works really well with google home so now I can tell google to set light to different colors verbally, and the color accuracy and representation is excellent, it also makes soothing slow fade changing animated lights, and works with music. Basically everything I would want from an LED light source. The defuser works extremely well too so now the light looks so much nicer under the kitchen counter. (video of the strip light in action, I only connected it and didn’t have to program any color commands, it all comes with the app, the colors are more accurate in real life than in my video, since iphone does some weird auto color balancing)

LED lightstrip kit with full diffusion channels
This item is really actually 2 products in one. There’s a RGBIC lightstrip, and a set of diffuser channels. The light density on the strip is such that you will achieve fully even diffusion along the entire length of the channel if you use this lightstrip inside. The bonus is that the lightstrip is attached to the channel with these clips, so while the channel uses 3M VHB to install to a wall, the lightstrip itself is not permanently attached to the channels. You can reuse these lights for something else later on, if you decide to remove the channels. That being said, several things to consider about this kit: they provide angle connectors for inner and outer angles along the horizontal length, but they do not provide any 90 degree corner right angles, for going from horizontal to vertical. You will need to hack something together if your run involves any of these turns. The lights themselves are very vibrant, typical of Govee lights. Consequently, they are also unable to be dimmed down, so there’s really no visible difference between 1% brightness and 30% brightness. Just be aware that once these lights are installed, you will have to turn them completely off if you no longer want a bright light in the installed area. There is no “dim” option with this lightstrip–it’s either bright, brighter, brightest, or off.The color movement along the lights also appears a bit choppy at times. Instead of seeing a smooth and continuous transition of colors along its length, you will see a very abrupt segment of color that’s sliding across the length, at a frame rate that is low enough for each segment to have a noticeable pause during the transition. It looks stutery and choppy, because it isn’t using a gradient transition that will smooth out the colors as they change. All things said, it’s a pretty good deal for the price of the kit. You’re getting fully diffused channels, a reusable light strip, and app control for the whole thing with smart home control compatibility. You can setup complex triggers to control these through Smartthings and Alexa, like motion or presence triggers, or times of day, or nest them together so motion triggers difference scenes during different times of the day, whether or not you’re home. The wifi module included with this kit really opens the possibilities for what you can use these lights for. I think the sum of all those parts will more than justify the price.

Almost Perfect
I ordered the light “Bar” (with the track/covers), as well as the light strip these guys sell, wanting to compare the difference. I’m installing in an RV, so it’s a bit more challenging. As for this light bar product, it was very nicely packaged, probably too nice. The installation instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow, EXCEPT, the retaining clips. The photo of the clip install is a bit unclear to me. A profile photo of that clip might help, as to how it’s installed in the track. I’d suggestion just playing with a piece in your hand until you totally get how the clip fits in the track. It fits as it should, but super tight, and took a bit more force to get in place, and is the only possible weak point, but still a super minor thing. I will be buying more of these at some point. They are GREAT if you stay in a simple straight line, or on one plane, as in around a ceiling, or as accent lighting. Make sure your cuts are straight, as there are a lot of leds in this and it will peak out of any cover if not matched up tight. I’d prefer each track be a bit longer, maybe even a meter, plus a couple shorter. A dremel cutoff wheel does the trick to easily cut.To me, the ‘bar’ is great if directly in your sights, like around a ceiling, and their regular sticky light strips, would def be better out of sight, like under cabinet, but still not bad even within view. And their APP is super nice, and will do anything I can imagine. Is fairly intuitive. Only knock, so much info is packed on the screen, it’s hard to scroll without touching an option and changing things on accident. Maybe space out the selectable items a bit more, leave room for a finger to scroll. But, overall all, great job. Worked very well with Alexa, easy integration. The light “bar” item is a bit more pricey, but it does look/feel a bit premium, but at $50 it’d be a very good value.

The strip lights themselves are nothing special. However, with the diffuser for the lights, the vibrancy of colour is great. The plastic is easy to cut if you need to trim and go around corners. (Simple $5-10 hacksaw) The clips to hold the striplight in place in the diffuser are great. There are more than enough to support and hold the lights. My mistake was putting up the channels without measuring it out to where you can cut the light strip. It integrated with my Google home very easily. I can use Google home to change colors, brightness, etc. This is my 3rd Govee Product. 10/10 recommend.

DO NOT BUY! I don’t think I have ever spent the energy to take the time to write a bad product review in years of buying hundreds of products on amazon. This light strip is so incredibly cheap; first, it’s extremely frustrating to put together. It’s a cheap led strip, like you can buy for 10$, with tubes you have to put together and tape to your wall with 2 sided tape. The interior does not come with anything to keep the led from touching the diffusion, so if you actually want it to look good, you have to cut double sided tape yourself for all the length. Then, you’re supposed to be able to connect more than one together to fill your whole space, sadly, the second strip didn’t light up after I spent hours putting everything together. I actually went ahead and bought a third one, which 3 leds were lighting up green no matter what color I put the whole strip. I gave up, almost 400$ later, took everything apart and put it in the trash, where it belongs.Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product.
