Good stuff:- Great value for the money- Sturdy construction- Clear assembly instructions- All hardware included- Very well protected packaging- Nice paint job, attractive designDrawbacks:- Moderate “new paint” or “fresh glue” odor; needs to air out. This is typical these days but I wish it wasnt so strong. The room needed a window open to air out.- Not enough slats included. There were 28. There are 3 beds. The instructions show more slats on top bunk than bottom and trundle. This does not make sense. We are adding several more slats for support, especially with the thin mattress you need to use- Assembly time: Lot of parts. Lot of hardware. For an experienced assembler working quickly, I am at 4 hours start to finish. Took about an hour to just unpack!- One hole needed to be drilled out further. Everything else lined up perfectly.

Bunk bed looks pretty good, but assembly took lots of time (10 hrs plus just 1 person). 1 screw was missing which I was able to get in local hardware store. Fixing the mattress support wood rails needs to be done very carefully. One of the last wood parts to assemble was scratched, but I was not about to return the product after the long assembly process.

It’s a good bed. Not hard to put together. It works well but the top is not as solid as I would have liked. It isn’t noisy. Size as described. Fits well in our son’s room.We use the bottom for our 18 year old (190 lbs)Top for our 14 year old (180 lbs)& trundle for nephew 11 (75 lbs).
