It “is” a heated throw.
Yep, like others have noted, it did have a smell straight out of the bag. Not horrible or so bad that someone across the room would notice. Rather, it smelled like…. an over stale production facility. So, it went straight in for s wash. On a high note, the instructions say to drape it over a line to dry, however it held up our dryer’s “ultra-low” temp setting for 30 minutes. ( I was chomping at the bit to fire this blanket; no way I was waiting for a line dry.)Mine started warming up straight away when I turned it on, but it takes longer than say a heating pad.I have used the highest setting, and it gets warm enough to notice that it’s likely a heated blanket. I’m confident that I will never get under this blanket and say, “OMG this is so warm!”The fabric is soft enough for me, but here again, I don’t ever expect to say “Omg this is so warm AND cozy. It just won’t happen.I got the animal print one. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to look like a cow or a horse. Either way, it looks okayOverall, it technically is a heated blanket but not by a lot.I’m rounding up from 2.5 stars.

Cozy and Warm, but Has a Strange Smell
This heated throw blanket is soft, warm, and very cozy, perfect for cold nights or just relaxing on the couch. The cow print design is cute, and the flannel fabric feels nice against the skin.The six heat settings allow for customized warmth, and the auto-off timer is a great safety feature. Itâs also machine washable, making it easy to clean and maintain. However, the only downside is that it has a weird smell out of the packaging. Hopefully, after a few washes, the odor will go away.Overall, itâs a great quality heating blanket with good functionality, just be aware of the initial smell. Still a good purchase for warmth and comfort!

Adorable
I live on a farm and have a farmhouse theme. This cow print blanket is so cute. The print is very nice and the other side is a fluffy, soft, sherpa-like fabric.I grew up in the late 70s/80s and remember electric blankets that would get super hot. This throw blanket didn’t get hot, but living in Florida, we rarely have to use heated blankets. The controller has six different heat settings and you can set the auto-off timer. The heat settings all felt the same and none ever got hot.The wiring is thin and flexible so you can use this as a regular throw blanket when you dont need added heat. The power cord/controller plugs in to a plastic piece, so it can be removed for laundering.

Super cozy
This heated throw is so cozy. Perfect to use in bed or on the couch. I like that it has adjustable settings. The one thing I didn’t like is that you can’t dry it on any heat setting. I do like that it is machine washable though. Perfect for cold winter days.

Heated blanket!!
Iâve been trying to find a cute heated blanket! This one is perfect. Itâs really pretty. Itâs very very soft and comfortable. I love the design on it and one side is that really nice and soft fluffy material. Itâs large enough to share and it fits perfectly on my bed. If you need a heated blanket, I highly recommend this one! There are six settings and automatic timer to shut off.

Heavy, Warm Throw
It’s a heavyweight throw, so it’s warm even without the electrical element. It has a nice, fluffy inner sherpa layer. That’s nice, but I do have reservations. Why such a strong warning about folding this blanket and against ever using it underneath you? Does that mean if I wrap it around my back and lean back (putting weight) on it that it would stop heating up? If it’s so delicate, I definitely have an issue with that. And it has an odor, not a severe odor, but noticeable. For comparison, my thinner electric blanket that actually looks cheap by comparison gets mistreated by me daily (I toss and turn a lot) and got machine washed, dried on low heat, and folded, and still works great! So I don’t hate this blanket, but I thought I’d love it, and I don’t.

This CozyRest heated throw blanket is super soft and comfortable. One side is soft fleece and solid white. The other side is cozy flannel with the cutest cow print.This throw has SIX heat settongs. It warms up very quickly. It has an automatic shutoff for safety. I really like that it is machine washable-you just remove the controller.Perfect to lounge around on a cold day.
