Perfect for my apartment
These bookshelves are the perfect size for my apartment. They hold quite a lot of books (15-20 depending on size) without taking up a lot of space. I purchased 2 of the 4-tier shelves and keep them in the floor on either side of my desk. They are very sturdy and were built pretty quickly. The instructions arenât the most detailed, but itâs pretty straightforward. Iâve recommend it to several friend since!

Took 2 attempts to build, but overall happy with it.
The first box i received there were 2 holes not fully drilled, and on one other board the hole was drilled on the wrong side of the board so i couldn’t assemble. I don’t have a drill so i rely on these predrilled flat pack furniture items.I contacted amazon to organize a replacement and a new package arrived within about 18 hours. This one was able to be quickly and easily assembled.Now that it’s built, I’m very happy and it is as advertised. It seems to be holding up the weight of the books in a way that seems stable, and i appreciate the option to mount against the wall for safety if needed.Some of the screws didn’t feel like they were able to be tightened enough (i recognize that could be on me though), but the quality of the wood is nice and it looks great!

Piece of dreck, save your money and don’t purchase.
Several pieces of this unit have the pre-drilled holes drilled on the wrong side. Making for confusion during assembly. The lowest shelving piece has 45 degree cut to allow a snug fit for the base plate. The two supplied screws are not long enough to bite into the angle piece therefore not providing sufficient bracing and balancing once assenbly is complete. After messing around and trying to see if I could come up with a solution that didn’t involve spending more money I’ve come to the conclusion this “bookcase” will best serve humanity as kindling for a small camp fire. Would give this zero stars if possible. Horrible quality, horrible value for kindling, missing tools, insufficient parts for utilization after assembly.

Sturdy and practical
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no trouble putting the bookshelf together. The pictorial directions are very similar to what you get from IKEA and very clear if you read through before beginning. The pieces DO have to be facing in the correct direction, but that’s easily determined by checking to see where the next piece will be attached. I’m a 72 year old woman with arthritis and I put it together in about 20 minutes, including the time I spent searching for a Phillips head screwdriver.I appreciated that all of the pieces were labeled and they included extra hardware. All of the screws were inset, giving it a smooth finish. Also, the included screwdriver had a nice handle, unlike the annoying Allen wrenches that usually come with DIY furniture.The only trouble I had was with the last piece, which had to line up at six points. I fould it easiest to insert the two dowels first, followed by the long bolts, and add the shorter screws last.The wood-tone bookcase I ordered looks very nice, not at all cheap. I bought it to sit next to my favorite chair to hold books and magazines. Loaded up it’s still very stable and looks much better than the previous piles of books. Overall an excellent purchase.

Good bookshelf
This is a really good bookshelf. It is sturdy and an attractive color. The unusual design looks great and is not at all an odd thing to see in your house. And as Goldilocks would say, it’s not too big and not too little. It’s just right. We have this on a small side table near our entrance door. It easily holds quite a number of books of various sizes and is never in danger of tipping over from the weight. It is a good addition for us to use for library books we check out so they have their own “place” in the house and don’t get mixed in with our own books.
