Not sure how much these look like leather. Seem to be just vinyl to me. That said, they’re not unattractive. The color I got was “light” brown, but they’re more a medium brown to me.They are quite easy to clean, which is a plus. I would be hesitant to put anything hot on them, as it seems they would probably melt. At $5 ea., the price is reasonable. The added coasters is a nice touch.

So I actually ordered these to use on the backs of the wreaths that I make. However, I did keep two of each of the placemats and coasters to use on my fiancés dinner table since it’s handmade by his late grandfather and we try to be so careful with it. These offer the perfect amount of protection and style!I wanted to give these a try for my wreaths as well because they’re waterproof and durable, and they’re the perfect size for the majority of them (no cutting required on most, but they’re easy to cut if I do need to trim them to size). I love that they’re a great deal —- you get both the placemats and the coasters in the set that I ordered. I’m using the remaining coasters for a small base for wreath pieces that I make (like centerpieces made with flowers, sprigs of greenery, ornaments, etc. to decorate the wreath because I glue them on to one of these coasters as a base and it keeps them firmly together, so I can then simply hot glue the back of the coaster and attach to the wreath – it keeps it perfectly in place). They work amazingly well for this purpose! Not only are they super versatile, but they’re super easy to clean if using on a table, and they look so nice. I love the neutral colors. Whether you’re looking for a super nice set of placemats and coasters or if you’re considering these for some other less conventional use – you won’t be disappointed. These are high quality, well made and perfect for my projects, as well as for protecting our wooden dining table. I’m so impressed with these and I will definitely order again in the future. I have a smallish round table in my kitchen/dining area which is fine for me and my husband. I tried to find rectangular placemats small enough so they sort of fit but they just didn’t look right. I don’t like the braided round ones either, you can’t set anything that’s not super flat on them.These work great, spills wipe off easy, the coasters are such a great addition to the placemats. And they look awesome on my round table!!!The color is a nice light blue which goes with my blue carpet but there are other colors. I like blue. I can use both sides of them in the event I find something that stains one side. Haven’t yet.They stay put and I even put hot dishes and pans on the extras and they don’t melt.I love them, perfect for any table and especially perfect for my round table.
