I was so excited for this book caddy and really liked the idea of having a floor book caddy like this, especially with the adjustable dividers. We often borrow 20–30 books from the library, and I didn’t want to mix them in with the books we own—plus, there’s no room for them on our regular bookshelf anyway. Usually, I keep them in a reusable library bag, but that often means some books go forgotten or unread, and we end up returning them without getting through them all. When I saw this book caddy, I thought it could be the perfect solution to keep library books organized and visible. The concept is great, and I do like the idea of the dividers to help keep books from sliding around if you don’t fill the entire caddy. It’s a cute design that encourages reading habits. However, there are a couple of issues. First, not all books fit in the caddy when the dividers are in use. Some of the larger books don’t fit unless I remove the dividers, which defeats the purpose of keeping books organized and upright. I think the brand should consider making it slightly bigger to account for the space the dividers take up on the sides. The second issue is more disappointing. One of the feet came out before I even used it. My husband assembled it (he said it was fairly easy and didn’t take long), but when I picked it up to inspect it, one of the feet fell off. It seems like the part the screw attaches to came out, so the screw is stuck in that part and can’t be reattached to the wood. This means I can’t move it around, or the foot will fall out again. I tried to fix it, but it just won’t stay attached, which is frustrating because the caddy won’t stand properly without all four feet. For now, I have it propped up and filled it with books, and it holds quite a few—probably 20–30 books, depending on their size. I also like the idea of using this caddy to switch out ‘featured’ books each month, especially ones that haven’t gotten much attention lately. If the foot didn’t break right away and the dividers fit larger books, this would have been an easy 5-star review. As it stands, I’m giving it 3 stars because while I do like the concept, the design flaws and quality issues need improvement.

I happen to have long had a cardboard box (which was a byproduct of some other adventure) which preformed this same function. So when I saw this I said to myself, “Charlie, why not?”. And sure enough it holds everything the cardboard did, but with style. Looks much cleaner, feet lift it up a touch, and has handy handles (sorry) to move it around with.Drawbacks, it was missing the two decorative circle things (but included the mounting screws for them). However, I think I can make something prettier for the spot so I’ll just turn it to the wall until I jerry it. Other drawback. With 40 randomly choosen children’s books (the contents of said box), two of them failed to fit with the inserts. Ergo, the insert bits for holding up small collections of books proved more nuisance than asset and will be discarded.Unexpected plus. 1 year old loves sitting in there, subject to the vacating of the resident books.Easy enough to assemble, pulled it off despite help from the 3 year old and 1 year old in about 45 minutes. That may also explain the missing two circle bits but darn me if I can find them anywhere.
