This lock looks good but the app doesn’t work 90%of the time and the keypad is garbage. Have to put my code in at least 5 times to get ot correct. When I press the 5 it recognizes it as a 3 and the 0 as the # key. Was away all summer and just installed the lock so way past the return date. I have to use the key which defeats the purpose. Don’t purchase this lock.Customer service reached out and shipped me another lock and offered a 2 year warranty. tThis one the keypad seems very responsive and works as advertised so far. Haven’t installed yet just took out of box to test but I’m really impressed with the customer service from Hornbill, how they addressed with my concerns and how fast they shipped me a new lock. Thank you

Smart door lock has been installed over 1 week, finger print sensor works well in cold weather as well as key fob. Installed on front door replacing existing lock, deadbolt lock, I had to make hole a little bigger. otherwise everything went well. Very pleased with this new lock handle set.

Hello,The lock works amazingly. I used to have an August lock (WiFi) for 2 years and it was terrible, huge delay in opening the door, and fast battery discharge, on both sides, at the keypad, and at the lock. I love the keyfobs and fingerprints, the door is unlocked instantly. Including with Alexa. With August sometimes takes from 3 to 6 seconds to unlock the door (this is when it worked – most of the time, it doesn’t – with Alexa)So, yes, after a few days of using it, it works excellent I hope will be the same in 6 months2 years ago I bought August because it is a big brand. But is a huge difference between those 2. Hornbill is so fast, and not very complicated to configure. In fact, is easy.The only con is that (for me) it is working with TT Lock only (the blue one). Next Lock app, didn’t work for me to add the lock. It discovered the device, but I couldn’t add it. However, not a big deal – TT Lock is almost identical.PS: the lock has been installed on the door by the guys who installed my new door. So I do not know if it was easy or not. I wasn’t home.

These locks are really good and functional everyone in the house has their own access code and app. The screen is much better than our old lock where numbers fade after a while. You can make one time access for others on the app as well. I have also bought a gateway that allows me to control the lock remotely and connect it to the internet. The lock functions well, easy to install, easy yo control and looks good on the door. I recommend this lock to everyone that is looking for a secure abd reliable lock.

Needed a little tweaking but it works great now
Installation was pretty quick and easy, especially if you are familiar with installing a doorknob or deadbolt. The only part that can be tricky is drilling the whole. Use the template and you will be ok.After installation it worked great for about 8 times then stopped working. In an attempt to fix it I reset the lock and tried to to delete the lock from the app. I was not able to delete the lock from the app so I had to call support. Blaire was very helpful and was able to show me an alternative way to deleting locks from your app. This is a Chinese company so there is a little bit of a language barrier but her English was way better than my Chinese (non existent).After reconnecting to the lock it worked for a few more times then had the same problem. I could here the motor working but it was not operating the deadbolt. I was talking to a friend who has some similar locks at his workplace and he was mentioning that the deadbolt needs to move freely. My deadbolt was not getting any friction from the strike plate but, I thought of how, if you over tighten the screws when installing a doorknob, the latch would not spring back into place after opening the door. SO, I took the cover off of the lock, loosened the screws that go into the deadbolt mechanism and reassembled the lock. It has worked flawlessly since.In short, if you have problems with the lock not functioning, check that the deadbolt is not hitting the strike plate and that you have not over tightened screws when installing. The screws only need to be tight enough to hold the lock in place.The lock looks great with our new door handle, it works as it should and makes life easier for the whole family (especially the kids). We’ve had a a couple of unsolicited compliments from friends visiting on how nice it looks.I will say that the app is crap. It has very limited functionality and if you have to delete your lock so you can re-add it after a reset, you can’t just delete it. You have to export it to the trash.

What have been 5 stars had I received all parts
Still loving this lock but missing a screw. Someone contacted me advising they would send but two weeks later and still no screw originally missing from the box. Bummer

Just not good.
The good: It looks nice, and I thought the app was ok and easy enough to set up the lockThe Bad:Fingerprint sensor is worthless.Locks you out after 5 attempts and makes a siren noise.Using the buttons isn’t an option sometimes. In the cold it seems to not want to recognize you want to even start entering a code.The lock mechanism itself is sloppy and loose.The handle feels pretty cheap.Bought 3 of these – they are all going back.

Awesome door lock.
Very nice modern looking door lock. We like that it uses our finger to unlock and lock the door. That way we do not have to reach for our keys. It also came with RFID tags that we can waive in front of the door to unlock as well. Very nice features easy to install as well. Had to contact customer support to get help on getting it set up Eunice from tech support was very knowledgeable and helpful on getting things done.

Worked great!
Alrighty, letâs start out with some positives:1. The privacy lock option that allows us to key in a series of random number before or after our actual code in order to mask our actual code.2. The ability to give out different codes to friends/family when needed.3. The app associated with the lock is pretty intuitive and easy to use (especially to remotely unlock/lock when needed)Now, letâs talk about why this isnât a 5 stars. It can pretty much be summed up by: the automatic function it stopped working properly.We placed the amazon purchase of this lock on 4/16/22, it was shipped on 4/17/22 and not received until the following day. The manufacturerâs warranty is one year. On 4/14/23, the lock malfunctioned and stopped fully unlocking our door when key code was entered. Luckily, we had a key hidden to manually unlocked it. Given that we contacted Hornbill within the year warranty, weâre hoping to get a replacement lock sent. Will update this review if/when we get our replacement lock.***** update. They sent us a replacement. Giving them 5 stars!
