Excellent Performance & Quality!
This is an elegant convenient lock set that respond swiftly to your smartphone, fingerprints and the fobs.This is a well made lock set. Very easy to install and fairly easy to program. It comes with keys, fingerprint sensor, pass code and the ability to program it to open with your smartphone!Physical installation is very easy, pretty straight forward, just like a typical lock. If you did not have a long handle before, all you have to do is drill a small hole to secure the bottom part of the handle.Once installed, the lock it really looks good.Programing takes a bit longer than the physical install, but if you follow the steps you can program the various features with no frustration.Basically your programing consists of removing the initial code, install yours, install the fingerprints and customize the settings to your likings. Once you accomplish this, the lock works flawlessly!Unfortunately, To use your smart assistants to unlock via Alexa/Google Assistant you would need to add the Hornbill Wi-Fi Gateway which is sold separately, a $30.00 device. Easy to install and works great. Almost perfect.
What I like:* The installation easy and the setup with the app for Android wasn’t too difficult. I really like how there are several different ways to lock and unlock (e.g. phone app, fingerprint, PIN, key, etc.)* If you have another Hornbill lock that’s already setup, you can use the their app to transfer most of the settings over to the new Hornbill lock; this is such a huge time saver!* It feels well made and durable.* Beautiful and simplistic design.What I don’t like:* You cannot use the IC fob to unlock door after you lock yourself out with too many failed attempts to unlock with your fingerprint.* You have to touch and hold the “#” sign on the keypad for immediate locking. This can be tricky if your hand or finger is wet or super cold. I wish there was a physical button right on the lock itself that you can just press to lock.
