This stand is perfect,feels and looks like real wood, sturdy and very easy to put together.Would buy again for the value.Happy with my new unit even with the slight imperfection. I will reach out to get that piece replace but it does not ruin the stand.

This is a superb bookshelf. Love the minimalistic design and dark brown rustic design – totally what I was going for. The wooden shelves are quite thick and heavy as well.I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a tall bookshelf that subtley adds to your room aesthetic. The best furniture purchase I’ve made in Amazon so far.Pros:- Tall, sturdy, and heavy – therefore is functional.- Perfect for minimalistic style- Color accurate: The images in the product are accurate. The brown really pops against a mute background.Cons:- Can’t say. Maybe the black metal frame could be of higher quality? Compared to the wood it’s not that well made. I won’t take a star away for that though, as the appearance wise is just great.

Outstanding product! This is the one to buy!
Product was delivered on time and I was impressed with the packaging. Contents were thoughtfully arranged and protected from delivery mishaps. I was pleasantly surprised at this!I can confirm that the shelves are made of real, solid wood. The production process has taken two lengths of wood and glued them together length-wise to form a very solid, attractive, shelf. The included hardware was very well individually packaged and labeled to avoid any confusion with the miscellaneous bolts and other pieces. All hardware was included and each item included an extra, just in case. This included the adjustable foot and wrench to hold the nuts for tightening. Not my experience with other companies and this was another surprise!To those who mentioned/complained about smell of the product upon opening and assembly, the wood stain smell, yep real wood = real stain, dissipated after a day or two. Stain was pleasing to view and evenly applied. Smell was not an issue for me and another pleasant surprise from the crappy vinyl wrapped products or MDF products available.My purpose in purchase was to house large collection of sportscards boxes and I was skeptical of the advertised strength of shelf supports. By my calculation and experience, the shelves are capable of holding what I needed. As seen in my photo, 36 800 count boxes will fit on each shelf, if desired. Other shelf units, including the plastic ones available at box stores, tend to sag. Not the issue here.Only thing I added for my use was the addition of 5â lag screws to anchor unit to my wall to prevent tipping. If the unit was to be used as display unit with light shelf load, the included screws would have been fine. As a heavy bookcase, upgrade the anchor screws to avoid an accident.Excellent product and I would absolutely recommend and, without hesitation, purchase another. Could be my single greatest Amazon purchase in terms of meeting my expectations (and hopes)!

Questionable real wood
*Update: the sellers reached out to me after this review and stated itâs only sold with the smaller x brace now and would be updating advertisement photos to reflect the accurate brace sold. I was also sent a partial refund for the inaccuracy. Very happy with the sellers response time and resolution.*Bookshelf was easy to assemble in just under an hour. As another reviewer mentioned I was sent the smaller âxâ brace which I am not a fan of as the larger brace as pictured makes the shelf look different. The company in California advertised as the seller âHSHâ is not actually the seller so when I contacted them they said they do not know anything about this item. It looks nice but the unit is very light and seems like it would tip very easily if the wall anchors werenât used.

Beautiful pieces- Updated
Update: I am updating this review because it is now several years later, and I have bought a several more of these (one that arrived yesterday!). I am still incredibly pleased with this product. These bookshelves are excellent quality, and very durable. They come in different tiers, so Iâve been able to pick ones that are the right height for what I need. The color is true to the pictures, and the pieces fit in great with my overall style. I love that they are so functional and versatile, and I have use these bookshelves in my living room, office, and bedroom. I even moved to another state with them and they are still in the same great condition as the day they arrived.Original Review: I have not put this together yet, but I already love it. These are real wood, contrary to what some people have said in their reviews. No offense to anyone, but if you have not had a lot of experience with different types of wood and woodwork I can see why there would be some confusion about that. This is simply a lightweight variety of wood. It does have a smell when it is openedâ¦ If you go to your nearest home-improvement store and open a can of wood stain you will smell the exact same thing. Like others have said, if you just leave that bookshelf, in an open area for a few days, the smell will go away. This is not one large, solid piece of wood, but two thinner pieces of wood glued together for each slab. The slabs are not perfectly smoothed: as you can see in the pictures they are roughhewn. However, they have been sanded and finished nicely. They are just rough enough to look good.I will certainly be buying more, particularly considering the fact that you can pay at least this much for MDF products.Iâm very happy the manufacturing, quality, and the finished piece.

Bookshelf stand.
The bookshelf stand went together easy. I like the sturdiness of the wood shelves and the distressed texture of them. The bookshelf matched well with my television stand. I use it for displaying family photographs and it works well for this. I wish it had slightly deeper width of the shelves to accommodate larger photos/frames better but it still works well. I do wish the metal framing was made from a heavier metal but it is adequate.
