Sharp!
I love these knives. Replaced a very high dollar henckel set with these and the quality is just as good but with a better look and more precise cutting. So far no rust (6 months use or so) great balance and comfort. Durability is a tough one. I did knick/ notch one blade rather easy when I slipped. A bit disappointed in how easy that happened, but it hasn’t since. I would definitely buy again and I recommend them. I like the metal style handle as I’ve purchased another product from the company with a “wood” style handle, it was basically a sticker that came off so stick with metal. Great knives.

My Husband Cut Himself on the First Use
So, yes, they are extremely sharp. Not the thickest blades. I’m a little concerned that the tips might break off at some point. But cutting up meat is a lot easier since I got these.

Good but not great
This is a very nice-looking knife set. I purchased the one with the black block. The knives however do not stay sharp for very long. The included knife sharpener is very lightweight and is only good as a Horner. But after a while of light daily use, the blades get dull and need to be sharpened. The steak knives are not that great. They are more suited for sawing wood as they are very small toothed serrated. They tear more than cut. Other knives are well balanced for an inexpensive set and work well at doing the job of daily household cutting. This is not a professional set obviously, but for the price they’re fine. They seem to be made of a decent stainless steel as I have not seen any small rust spots like some others have complained

*update* After using them for 2 weeks. The steak knives are hardy, I enjoy them. The Santoku Knife still feels too light for the size, and now has a minor rattle inside the handle, it’s very faint but can be heard. All the knives are still cutting well still so that’s a positive. My final conclusion is that if you can pick these knives up for less than $80 CAD you will be satisfied. But there are better knives for the retail price.Bought these knives to replace a decade old set of Sabatier Knives. Just picked up the knife set today and took them out of the box. Overall I’m not impressed with the fit and finish, the knives are not solid stainless steel, they have Hollow Grips making them deceptively light. The sound they make when you tap them sound like when you flick a tin can, it makes me question if these are truly steel knives or some low quality alloy, as compared to the actual Quality knives I already own.I haven’t Cut anything with them, but even dollarstore knives are sharp out the box. And judging from the quality out the box I don’t expect them to stay sharp for more than a month.I purchased on sale for 65% off, But even then I don’t think these knives are worth the price. At full price these knives cost just as much as a Henckels or Sabatier Knife set. I would highly recommend them over these.
