We’ve just replaced one of these lights after 7 years.. We put them on our sheds, on the fence by the driveway, anywhere we need light (that they can charge up…gotta have sunlight on them!!). They don’t need a LOT of sunlight, the ones on the sheds are mostly in the shade, but still work just fine. Easy to install, and then ignore, because they work like a charm.

I just installed 4 of these lights attaching the to the gutter eave. I only used one of the extension poles which was enough for the lights to clear the gutter. For now I have them set to Mode 4 (stay dark until they detect motion). This way they should have enough charge to last several cloudy days.I installed my lights with the protruding portion on the bracket against the extension pole. The screw head fits in the recess on the other side (the side that goes against the gutter eave) and the bracket will sit flush. Because of the protruding portion the extension pole is angled upward slightly and this achieves 2 things:1. Rain water will flow off the surface of the solar panel.2. The light is projected further away from the gutter eave and wall underneath. One of the 8 mounting screws provided with the 4 lamps had a defective head (uncut Phillips slot). I found a replacement in my toolbox which is slightly longer and slightly larger but it still fit thru the hole in the bracket. If in time I find it necessary I will replace the other screws with these bigger ones.If using the extension poles it is very important that the mounting location is “healthy”. While the lights are not heavy any forces applied to them by the wind will be amplified at the mounting bracket. This could cause the screws to be ripped out of the wood. Even more so if you end up using both extension poles. The light is bright and provides good illumination of the area under and around it.The battery or batteries are not user replaceable. You would need to disassemble the light to replace them. The provided literature does not specify what kind of batteries are used so even if you disassemble the light it might be difficult to locate replacement batteries. This is the main reason I did not rate these lights with 5 stars. Now it is time to find out how long they last.UPDATE 01/15/2018: Over one year later… All 4 LED light I installed in November 2016 are still working just as good as they worked when I first installed them.

Bright and reliable!
These lights are great! they charge very fast and hold the charge for a long time. They are bright and the motion detection is amazing! I have had another set of these lights for years and they are still working, that why I purchased more. One BIG note, the customer service from this company is amazing! They are very responsive and will, for sure, provide all the help you need and replace the product quickly if there are issues! Feel secure with your purchase! I purchase 2 different models, and my review will be the same for both!

Took maybe 2 minutes to mount each one. The LED’S are nice and bright and the motion sensor is super sensitive. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I had a little trouble telling if I had the right mode set, due to the high sensitivity of the motion sensor and the fact the light seems to stay on longer after motion has stopped then stated., made it difficult to tell.

Top of the (my) list solar lights for a few reasons.
I have purchased many solar lights of many styles and brands and all things considered (including price) these are just about as good as I have gotten for some key reasons. They have a few different settings to choose from but the one I like is light on constant after dark in a “dimmer” state then when it detects motion it really lights up to the claimed 450 lumens (which is, comparably speaking, quite bright) then when motion ceases it goes back down to the dimmer state which is probably half or less but ample power to light dark areas enough to eliminate those “creepy” dark areas most of us seem to have around our homes. If you have an area that is just too dark, these are very effective in providing a bit of constant light in those areas with a brighter light for your convenience and your security when the motion sensor is tripped. Very cool and, based on what I feel is the appropriate range for the motion sensors and the brightness choices ( both subjective of course) combined with the consistent and reliable performance of this motion feature, I feel that it was nicely executed by the manufacturer! 2: Whoever decided on the final settings and options did it right (we think). Not all solar lights have options and some do but bad or useless ones. The dim option then bright when motion is detected is terrific and quite useful. Also the mounting options are well thought out. You can simply mount them to your fascia board or any vertical member like a gate or wall (I’ve effectively used all three options) as they are or you can use the extension if you need them to extend out from the fascia to compensate for a flower bed for example. I have used both options where one option works and the other option would not work at all Nicely thought out! What would be helpful from the manufacturer is a template for where to put the screws because that can be a little tricky but still rather simple if you use your melon. You’ll see when you do it. (hint: make your own template out of paper – See, I used my melon!) 3: The lights are built from a plastic(y) material but nevertheless, seem well put together. Again, many (if not most) of the solar options out there are NOT well put together and do not give me the impression that they will last. These do. Although they are made of plastic (or a similar material),are simple, attractive and nice, they arrive in very nice packaging with mounting hardware (screws and hollow wall anchors and instructions and the overall impression I got was that these look like they will give me a few years of service. So far they have delivered. I have not had a lick of trouble with any of them (About 10) in a few months. As far as solar lights of this type, these are in the high price range so I expect a more premium product. These are, without question, working like a premium product. My endorsement is official. Just make sure you have ample sun in the areas you will place these……. or am I unnecessarily stating the obvious? Good luck!
