i’m not sure that it’s a common thing.
by the time this item arrived, two lids were broken.i cannot tell if it was the shipper’s fault or the distributor’s fault [my experience says that it is the shipper’s fault].the lids are not broken in such a way as they are ruined; i can still use them, and they will still seal, so i won’t be returning them.overall, seems like a great product, and cost-effective is paramount for me. 🙂

A good product
I’ve bought a lot of these Iris products over the years, and I agree the quality control has dropped. I didn’t have any breakage on my most recent order, but some of the latches were separated from the lids. I believe over time, this may shorten the lifespan of the product, and I believe this was the result of packing and not the construction (only the top unit was affected). I’d still recommend the brand and product. If you’re looking for storage bins, strongly consider the WeatherPro line.

Excellent Storage
Well package so that the containers were not damaged. I have bought many of these. They are the best storage container on the market and I never have to stress about moisture getting into the box.

Air tight
We moved into a new apartment and found it has roaches. To prevent our things to get damaged we bought these bins. They are doing a great job and are air tight. I like the size and that I can see what’s inside. My only issue is out of the 6 I bought, one of the lids was cracked. I can work around it because I’m not lugging it to the store to be returned. I saw the reviews and anticipated this but it’s still frustrating when they are so pricey.

Inferior quality! Not IP67 rated!
Need a “zero star” !!!!! Inferior quality! Not IP67 rated! Definitely not waterproof or leak proof â¦ Seal is not 100% solid in the tops … definitely would leak! Tops cracked. Pieces packed upside down in the box! I would go back to target for their IP67, but they no longer have the smaller size I need.

Great Product
I was a little worried to buy these b/c the reviews were mixed, but these ticked all my boxes! Sturdy, the seal on the lid will be perfect for keeping out critters, I live in South Texas and I needed to store some things in my garage, I wanted clear boxes but something that was a little insulated too, and these are perfect, I highly recommend. They came intact, no breakage, the handles were affixed and in working order! I will be buying more!

Could be an excellent product except for bad quality control
I bought a set of these containers about 2 years ago and they were great. Arrived intact, all handles attached properly. I’ve tried ordering 3 different sets now only to return them all due to badly drilled holes, broken plastic, and handles that just won’t stay on. Also, I’m not positive, but the plastic itself seems more brittle and prone to snapping. It’s a shame, these were my go to bins.

…so hard to find bins that fit under my 12″ bed frame and maximize storage potential. Most on the market around 8″ or 15″ high = so too low or too high…these bins are perfect in size as I can slide them under easily and they do not touch the bed frame. They also have added protection of cushion barrier around the lid for a tight seal protecting contents from potential bug critters.
