Cheap but great!
These honestly are pretty great. They are decent quality and went together very easily. Took me maybe 40 minutes for each shelf to put together by myself, and once together are very sturdy. They are a little smaller than I thought (make sure you read the size listed) as I assumed they were going to be closer in size to my ikea billy bookcase. They are lightweight but not flimsy, and you can easily move them with one person when empty.Please note that they DO NOT have adjustable shelves, but the shelf height is perfect for all of my books, and my taller ones, and should fit a variety of items besides books.I love how the back paneling slides into the structure as you build it versus being nailed on like most build shelves.The anchor that comes with it is not one I’ve ever seen before, so maybe buy your own anchor, as well as it only came with one anchor per shelf instead of two.But it came with everything you need to put it together and with extra screws just in case, and I love how fhey look. Overall great buy for my small apartment ð

Love these
I love these bookcases. I bought them for my sons closets but they are nice enough to use other places. Hardware was good quality, finish is excellent, super easy to put together with clear instructions. I will be buying more for my art studio. Great value for the set ot two.

sturdy and easy set up
I ordered the 2 bookcases and put them together with very little effort. Easy to read and follow instructions, sturdy considering they’re “cheap” and stable. The hardware to attach them at the top to the wall so they won’t tip over is included. They work perfectly in the limited space I have.

These bookshelves are so nice. Sturdy and heavier than expected. Love that the back piece isnât that thin flimsy board that you usually get with bookcases. So easy to assemble. Great directions and all parts were there and labeled. Would recommend buying

Sturdy Enough
I recommend turning it upside down and using the plastic pieces, that are meant to support the back, to put under the shelves for added support.In the second picture is a different shelf made of the same material, put together the same way that I assembled seven years ago. Granted the old shelf is about three inches longer and four inches wider which makes some difference. As you can see the weight of the school books eventually caused the board to break around the screws. The screws IN it don’t support weight as well as the supports placed under the shelf do. Also you can see humidity caused my old shelf to bow, but again these new shelves are shorter both ways so that will greatly curb that problem both because they’re more compact and necessarily will not be bearing as much weight either.The back has a unique design that better helps to support the weight of the shelves as well.Use one plastic piece for a spacer as seen in the first picture, because once the screw grabs, it pulls the plastic support down just a little. But starting it with just that little bit of allowance makes the fit more perfect.All in all I love these matching shelves. Theyare beautiful and hold a lot. I expect them to last for well over a decade. Keep in mind that I live in the southeast where the humidity is often over 60% during the summer even with central air, so nothing made of particle board is going to last long. During the same week, I also built a heavier shelf of solid wood boards that will last 50+ years, but it was twice as expensive. Each serves their separate purposes well.ð

“Easy to Assemble” is relative, I guess, but it wasn’t the nightmare that some shelves can be.
It is a strong and attractive shelf. We needed a slender shelf with narrow shelf depth or an area that wouldn’t be blocking a passage way. The thicker closet we replaced made it harder for individuals in wheelchairs to get through to the accessible bathrooms in the non-profit we run.My husband has a chronic habit of dumping everything he doesn’t know what to do with, in the middle of our work/cook stations that we can’t have cluttered. So this is his ‘dump shelf’ where he can put things until we figure out where to organize them in our existing storage space. Man has it made a huge difference for us.It came with two shelf sets, and rather nebulous assembly instructions. All of the pieces needed were there with a couple of extras in case of loss. The various pieces are labeled A, B, C etc in the diagram but no labels are on the various pieces, so one does have to pay attention that they have the right part. We had one mishap where the wrong shelf was used but it was easy enough to remove it and replace it with the correct board. So not the best instructions, but still fairly easy to figure out where the pieces go in the assembly processOne thing that was particularly impressive, IMO, is the back boards of the shelves. They are sturdy and slide into tracks in the side and shelf boards. It’s not that cheesy paperboard that covers the back of most shelves like this.

Sturdy, functional, easy to assemble book cases
My husband and I both appreciated how these came well wrapped. Every screw, panel, and bolt were labeled so that construction was simplified.I filled them up with books and decor. So far there is no sagging.

Good looking
The shelves are a bit smaller than I expected. But they look so good. The grey shelves are perfect. Nothing missing and easy to put together. Great for the price and will likely get another set.
