Saw great reviews online but disappointed with quality of product. Finishing was rough, and inconsistent. Manufacturer should have better quality checks especially if they are charging a premium on the product

Das Regal lÃ¤sst sich schnell und einfach aufbauen.QualitÃ¤t und Verarbeitung finde ich sehr gut.Durch die weichen FÃ¤cher sind die BÃ¼cherecken nicht so anfÃ¤llig wie in normalen Regalen.Und was ich besonders toll finde, es ist wirklich sehr platzsparend und dennoch passen sehr viele BÃ¼cher rein. Selbst unsere Kleinste einjÃ¤hrige holt sich so selbst die BÃ¼cher aus dem Regal.Es ist zudem sehr standfest. Unsere kleine zieht sich daran hoch, ohne das das Regal ins Wackeln gerÃ¤t. sehr gut!!!

Wonderful shelf.
We’ve had great luck with kidkraft products so far. This is sturdy and was very easy to put together. The pouches are well-sewn and a nice depth. This has been fantastic for all of our bigger books. The pockets are too deep for board books, you can’t see them, but that’s fine as they set in a basket on the floor next to this shelf. Our toddler LOVES it. Before this we had his books in a regular bookshelf and if he wanted a book he’d pull ALL OF THEM out onto the floor so he could see them in order to choose one, and, naturally, I was picking them up and putting them away constantly. With this shelf, he can see all of his books and is so much happier with how quickly he finds what he wants. And I’m happier because it’s so user friendly, he will put his books away himself too! So all I have to do is occasionally rearrange them. It’s also a nice size, not too tall or wide so it fits very well in our living room.

As expected
I’m given a 5 star rating based on I got exactly what i wanted. I wanted storage for my babies books. The reason I chose to not get a bookshelf is i worry it would fall on my child. With this item, you get storage for books without worrying about it crushing your child. Now as far as the item. Its not wide, it fits perfectly in a small space in the room, which I was also looking for. I fit rough 30 books into it, small and big books. Now bare in mind, I’m not ocd about how things look, yes the smaller books just drop in sleeve, and you can’t see them, but I’m also the type of parent that reads to their child, so honestly being able to see the cover of the books is not a big deal for me, and my son isnt complaining. The wood seems sturdy enough, better than i expected because some of the reveiw saying it was floppy had me worried… that’s just not the case. Now I’m no expert, so maybe it’s not real wood, but it pretty close especially considering the deal. It took me 10 minutes to put it together, mostly on my own, my spouse had to help because i started off using a very tiny screwdriver.. and was hurting my palms. He came in with a bigger Phillils screwdriver and finished it up. Instructions are in pictures, pretty easy to follow. Just use a normal size phillips head screwdriver with a good grip because some are a bit hard to screw all the way in. Work patiently, don’t force the screws in… which is just basic assembly rules, or you can break the wood, but that would happen in almost any wood and screw scenario. So to sum it up. Shelf is as wide as say a 34 inch tv, maybe as tall as the average 2 year old, if your ocd this item may not be for you, be patient when assembling, and ask for help if you need it. This reveiw is based on me receiving the item I expected, and my expectations were met.

Good value; holds quite a few books.
We just received the KidKraft sling bookshelf today, and I’m very happy with it. It was simple to put together; it took me about 15 minutes on my own with a screwdriver. It is very stable and sturdy, and will hold quite a few books. In the picture I posted, we have 27 books in there and could certainly fit a few more. Thin-spined books do work best. It won’t hold nearly all my kids’ books, but I wanted something to hold the many library books they bring home each week. It would also work well in a young child’s room.A few cons….Because you have to slide the canvas sling onto the dowels before you screw the bookshelf together, in order to wash the canvas, you would need to take the whole thing apart. Not a big deal in my opinion, as I think spot cleaning will work fine.There was a sticker on the side of the bookshelf that pulled a bit of veneer off when I took the sticker off. This isn’t a big deal, as it is on the inside where it is covered up by the canvas, but suggests the veneer is probably not all that durable.Overall, I think it’s a pretty good value and will work well for our needs.

Perfect size
Bought this bookshelf for my granddaughter who is two. It is the perfect size for her to see the books displayed , and she can independently take them out and put them back without many books falling off a shelf like other book shelves where books only show the binding . Very sturdy and I love the neutral color so it allows the books to be seen and not contrasting with a bright colored shelf.

Much more sturdy than I expected!
I have a 2-year-old son who is going through a phase of temper tantrums, which include flipping over bigger toys and small furniture in his room and throwing things when I put him to bed at night. His nightstand is made of sturdy plastic and he flips it all the way over. He flips over his toy piano and toy kitchen. I knew I didn’t want to get a real bookcase for him because I didn’t want him to pull it down on himself so I started looking at book slings. I’ve heard great things about KidKraft and decided to order this book sling for my son’s room. After ordering, and after my son’s tantrums started getting worse, I was a little worried that my son would flip it over and that it wouldn’t hold up. It came and I put it together and was surprised and happy about how sturdy and durable it seems to be! It hasn’t been flipped over yet because my son has calmed down a little with his tantrums in the last week but I do think it would hold up to even his rough handling! It was also very easy to put together, and even included the tools needed to put it together which is always a plus!The only downside I’ve seen to it is that it is not made for smaller books. My son is still reading board books because he’s too rough with his toys and books that I don’t want to get him books with paper pages yet. Most board books are pretty small. His board books are about the same height as the pockets, but most of them we can see well enough to pick out a book. He does have one that is really small and cannot be seen as easily, but there is enough space, as far as the depth of the pockets goes, to reach in and get it, so it is not really a problem and I would still give it 5 stars.
