Love them. Adhere well and are pretty to boot
I have very narrow steps and these fit perfect. The treads I purchased before, the cats kept knocking off, not these!! They have moved ever so slightly, no more falling down the stairs, woohoo!

Vibrant, Beautiful, Bold Colors that Look Great on the Basement Stairs
I just wish I didn’t have to adjust them every time someone or especially, a dog, walks over them. They tend to move around a lot on the hard surface. Perhaps they would get better traction on LVT. The hardwood planks are too slippery, I guess. These do have a rubber backing, which is very nice. Plus, they are very thin. You’re not getting a thick, cushiony matt. This is just enough to keep you from sliding around too much on stairs without carpeting.

Good grip
These treads have an excellent grip on the surface of the stairs. I finished and painted my stair case recently with no special anti slip coating but these treads are reliable and don’t move once put into place. The surface is anti-slip – so slight advantage over fabric / carpet style treads for people who run up/down the stairs on socks like me. The color / pattern looks good on my white painted stair case and gray flooring in the hallway.They do smell a little like car tires but I guess the smell will wear off after a while.Since there is no special adhesive the surface of the stairs will not be damaged and the treads can be easily taken off and put back into place.I didn’t need to but I assume they can be cut to fit stairs that are not as wide.

Average quality
I ordered these to go on our hardwood steps. At first I was taken back because there was no adhesive on backing, but once put in place they seem to stay pretty well for now. I will definitely read product description more carefully in the future. They are made of a rubber material with a printed pattern on top, not sure how well they will stay in place over time. Quality seems about average considering the price tag, seems a bit pricey. Overall I gave them a four stars because they are nice looking and are staying in place so far.
