Potential Golden Egg for Japanese Joinery Bed Frames?
5/5 for now at start of assembly, will update at 6 months and 1 year!I have been searching high and low for japanese joinery beds that wouldn’t break the bank. I originally went to Valyou and purchased the Charm 2.0 from there only to be met with 0 communication and 1+ month wait time of it never being shipped. Come to find out they have a plethora of complaints for a variety of issues. I was luckily able to cancel my order and received a full refund while many others haven’t, but I was still in the need for a new bed frame!If I am being honest I would love to buy a THUMA but $1000+ is not in the budget at the current moment. After searching I found this bed frame and not only does it look nice, it was within budget and quite cheaper than the Valyou one I originally was looking at. Not many reviews but I felt more comfortable on amazon for potentially getting a refund than some third party site.There were minor wood abrasions upon opening the package but Im not worried about that, more so the structural soundness and stability of the bed. Im a bit of a dunce and put the bed together the wrong way about 3 times because I was in a hurry. I think taking apart my old bed frame took longer than assembling this bed.It feels sturdy once everything is set up. I appreciate that the slats the bed sits on are velcro’d to the frame. Everything feels stable. It does only have a 500lb weight limit. I did give it a few solid plops and wiggled and nothing seems to be making any noises yet.If this holds up for 6+ months I will be very impressed because I feel like I found a golden egg. I will be moving around a bit for the next few years so having a bed frame that can be assembled and disassembled easily was a huge need. Let’s see how it holds up!——11/14/2025I forgot to update so sorry! It’s been awhile since the purchase, almost a year! We purchased the silk and snow foam headboard to be paired with this and it absolutely pairs beautifully! We are moving, and while we were disassembling it we noticed some of the screws for the middle beam were already loose, but have had 0 issues with noises, assembly, disassembly, or anything breaking. Everything has held up since purchasing. Moving soon so shall see how it works putting back together! 2nd photo update will come after moving!

This replaces a tall sleigh-bed. I’m so much happier
Well made bed. Several competitors (middle man) out there and all seem to come from the same manufacturer in China; so be sure to find the right price. I’m very happy with this purchase. Easy to get in and out of the bed. No tools need (perhaps a rubber mallet for lite tapping) and this is a rock solid frame. Price was great and finish is flawless. I did opt for the headboard which was well worth the marginal uptick in price. Highly recommend this frame for seniors or anyone with knee/foot problems. I think the best thing about this bed is there’s no footboard to cram your sleeping. Low enough to get in/out of bed or even sit on the side with your feet being able to easily touch the ground. This replaced a very expensive sleigh-bed wi h was rather tall. I’m so much happier.

Solid Frame, But Headboard Issue
I think this bed frame is a great alternative to Thuma. The main frame feels sturdy and well-made, though the slats that hold the mattress are just average in quality. From the outside, it looks really clean and stylish. Assembly was super quick—took me around 5 minutes. The only drawback is that the headboard holes aren’t U.S. standard, so you can’t find a matching headboard on the market. I first bought the frame alone but ended up returning it and getting their combo instead.

Damaged headboard
The bed is great and wasn’t difficult to put together but the headboard arrived severely damaged. I have emailed the company and will edit my review if they are able to replace the headboard.

First Impressions Good
First impressions so far, very happy with my purchase.I didn’t bother with instructions I just put it together quickly and easily. The pieces lock into each other very well. It seems very sturdy and there is no creaking or anything. It’s kinda short, close to the ground, but with a very thick mattress it’s not a problem.It’s also not very heavy which is nice. So far very happy.
