This bed makes IKEA look really fancy. This is very light weight wood without predrilled holes for most of the screws (which results in potential for cracking the wood). It looks like it will hold up ok as long as we enforce a strict “no jumping on the bed rule”. Plus really who invests in an heirloom bunkbed anyways? It’ll last a few years until they’re ready to go back to their own separate rooms.Would I recommend this bed? Uh…I assume they’re all pretty similar. I might suggest going one price point up and see if the quality is a bit better. I don’t think anyone needs to go over the top on quality as, again, bunk beds are typically for younger kids who aren’t as careful with nice quality furniture anyway.Final notes, the instructions are not detailed and just include rough drawings. All the parts are labeled and the stickers come off easily. Nothing was broken or missing. Overall, it’ll do what it’s supposed to, but just be aware it feels like you’re building a bunk bed out of balsa wood with a single coat of paint on it,
