Once me and my son ensured that all the pieces were there, assembly was pretty straight forward. The only hardware you will need is a mallet. All other hardware is provided.This bed has a great weight limit. My son’s are older teens, and their original IKEA bed finally went to the bunk bed grave after 13 years. We wanted something that had just as great a build quality as that, but offered a higher weight limit with the option to separate them into twin beds should we have the room for it. Once it was put together, it looked fantastic, and took up less room, as it was less bulky than the IKEA one.

I love the simplicity of putting the bunk bed together. You have the option of putting the ladder on the right or the left of the same side which is very convenient. The pieces are very sturdy and not flimsy at all.

So we had to reorder a 2nd one because one of the bottom main rails wasn’t threaded. We received the 2nd bed replaced the rail. All was well until the slats that keep the mattress from falling keep popping our and my sons mattress falls in Also not safe to climbs the ladder to get on the top bunk the whole bed tips. So deff secure to a wall. Had I known all this I wouldn’t have bought this bed.

Love this bed seems very sturdy my boys love it only thing I had to plastic pieces kinda broke but don’t think it was from Amazon thank it was from the delivery but all in all love it! Hopefully it last longer then my wood one is bought a couple years back!

This is truly a very GOOD BED! It took roughly 2 hours to assemble between 2 adults. I like that this uses slats that fit right into the frame, as opposed to other, less stable and more complicated methods. However, be sure to have a rubber mallet or something similar on hand before starting, as the slats fit WELL and need good force to be situated. The addition of the S-Hooks and the Grey storage bag are a lovely touch too! They really get your mind thinking of all the storage possibilities available to a bunkbed owner! I actually bought a 2nd, separate, storage bag that velcroed onto the rails, just like the first one. But this one has two sides, so the top Bunker can actually See their items, instead of having to reach over the rail for them. Also, try adding pencil grippers to the S-Hooks if, like me, you find it frustrating how much they move around, and even fall off! And, have plenty of alcohol pads ready to wipe off ALLLLLL the sticker residue left behind (they use a sticker system to guide you in putting the pieces together). On noise level, i will admit that it SQUEAKS Iiterally EVERY.TIME. somebody moves even a bit. Somebody rolls over? SQUEAK! Somebody far-shneezes (you know? Sneeze and pass gas at the same time?) SQUEAK! But hey, Over all, this bed is awesome. I would even,have given it 5 stars…but for all the little nagging details. I reserve 5 stars for the items that I can’t live without, dig? But, by all means, I would highly recommend someone to purchase this bed if they are looking for a cost effective yet GOOD, sturdy, and, yes, ATTRACTIVE, bunkbed!
