    Good shop size
Good product, typical Milescraft reasonable price. I particularly like the size for testing square on my bandsaw, jointer and table saw.Accurate and I tested that statement. I used multiple known square items as well as the flip flop line draw method. The markings are not painted on they are etched in and then filled with an opposite color for visibility and so they won’t wear off.Very easy to read.I hope they hold accuracy, but the way they are designed it sure appears as they would.I would recommend and purchase this side of them again.

    Square
It’s square, all right. Easy to read markings. For some reason, I haven’t used it as much as I thought I would. Maybe the protractor on the inside angle puts me off. I usually reach for my 6″ combination square instead of this. It may be perfect for your needs.

Adjusting for Accuracy took less than 2 minutes.
Lots of complaints over this 6” not being 100% square. This one here – also arrived just a tiny bit out of square…. But all I had to do was unscrew the base, square up on any other accurate square nearby… and it’s good :)Scribing on stock… feels super solid and smooth. I’m using a – Staedtler 0.9mm Mechanical Pencil Night Blue Series (925 35-09)$10 Bucks well invested :)Cheers!- LS

Like the size and scribe lines but wasn’t square
I’m a big fan of Milescraft products (counted 12 of their products I purchased from Amazon alone) and this was one of my favorites. I’ve been using it routinely for a while and liked the ease of use, scribe lines and size. Recently I saw someone mention it on a woodworking deal group and how the one they purchased wasn’t square. So I double checked mine and sure enough it was off from all my other squares and when doing a line test. My bad for not checking it as I had grown to trust their products. So I took off the bottom piece using the 2 bolts to see if that was the cause and found out there is a notch so it can’t be used without that piece, as a square at least. I then put the bottom piece back on, but backwards, and once put back together, the issue was corrected and it was square. Makes me wonder if there is some variability on the bottom piece so it can be off depending on which direction it’s put together. Or maybe the screws were off and that corrected it but feels like the bottom piece was the cause. Just an idea to try before throwing it away. Hope that helps
