Excellent Air Flow and extremly Quiet
I was amazed on how quiet this fan is compared to my last fan. You can only slightly hear the air moving beyond 3 speed. This is a 6 speed DC fan and rarely use past 3 as the air flow is quite sufficient. Since this fan has a DC brushless motor, it’s more energy efficient than an AC motor. This fan was more difficult to install cause my ceiling electrical box is a 3″x3″, todays standard is 4×4. However, I was able to get the remote portion inside the box . The fan looks great!

Awesome fan, excellent provider experience
I live in Maine and the fan arrived in just two days! Totally happy with the provider experience. And the fan is as expected from the other nine Minka-Aire fans that I own across two houses. So easy to add to the Bond bridge as well, so I can manage through Alexa.

Unable to balance
The fan looks nice however the flywheel was totally warped. Youâll be using that balancing kit they give you in the fan package. The remote control has a delay when you use it and the light dimming feature takes some getting used to. I do a quick double press and hold on the light buttons to change Intensity. Edit – 7/6/21 – I am very upset with this fan. It is warped in several places and impossible to balance. This is the first fan I even had to balance. I will probably throw this in the garbage and get something else.

Looks Nice, But Lacks
This fan looks very nice, and seems pretty well built. However, there are a few things that really need attention.- Installation was a pain. My ceiling fan box is not flush with the drywall, which made placing the blue control box almost impossible. It’s also not very clear how the control box is supposed to be positioned.- It seems like someone spent 10 minutes programming this fan and said “I guess it’s good enough” when they finished.- When turning on the fan, the blades move a little bit, stop, then start ramping up to the desired speed. I’m guessing this is to detect the direction the blades are spinning, but this is pointless with no “summer” or “winter” mode selection or indication, just one button that changes the rotation.- My biggest issue is with the brightness control. There are two buttons on the remote to control the light. Press either and they toggle the light and hold the button to change the brightness which is fine, but both light buttons only change the brightness in one direction. I would think that if you hold down the bottom button to dim the lights and hold the top button to brighten them. But if the last ‘direction’ of brightness was up ( brighter) and I hold down the bottom button, bit continues getting brighter until it gets to the brightest setting, then starts lowering.- Can’t figure out if it supports fan dimmer switches of any kind.Positives:- Looks very nice.- Has wifi and connects to the bond app which seems to work pretty well, and integrates with Home Assistant which is a big plus.- Light is very bright, and lights up the whole room well.- Fan is very quiet and moves a good amount of air.

Smart enabled without bridges or hubs! Great API
Update 2: API from Bond makes it easy to create a shortcut and send desired speed to all fans at once. (Image attached)Update:The airflow is impressive. There is one incorrect item on the description, this fan is a 6 speed DC motor. I have not had a need to run it higher than speed 3.When using the smart features you will get two devices(fan control and light controls) on Alexa allowing you to use Guard mode which will simulate someone is home by turning on the lights randomly. This does not turn on the Fan only the light.Original Review:Excellent so far. Installed 2 of them, instructions could be better. No issues with the App.

Too small
Dislike small fan blades and very short fan pole.

The Dyno XL fan has a very bright light, silent DC motor & Smart By Bond. Works w/ Alexa & HomeSeer.
Assembly was a bit tedious (35+ screws) and fitting everything into the upper canopy cover was a challenge.Runs quiet and has no noticeable wobble. The XL version integrates well with Alexa and my HomeSeer home automation system. Its nice that all of this fan’s features can be accessed via the included hand-held remote or voice command or via my home automation system, including the Motor Reverse, Breeze and Timer functions.
