This nightlight is awesome for travel
I bought it for our cruise cabin because on our last cruise every time someone would go to the bathroom at night and turn on the bathroom light they would wake everyone, especially since they have the light switch on the outside of the door. But when we got on our cruise this ship had a nightlight built in, so we didn’t end up using it on the cruise. But it came in handy in the hotel we stayed in for a couple nights after the cruise. It was a small bathroom with no counter space and only a pedistal sink. The only plug was by the pedistal sink. Having a batter operated nightlight made it possible to just place it on the back of the toilet, and it would come on automatically anytime someone would walk in. So no one had to turn on the light and wake up others if they had to go to the bathroom while it was still dark. The automatic sensor feature also made it so no one had to find it in the dark and fumble with switches. I will take this on all my trips now just because of how functional and convenient it is.

Great for cruising
It’s small you need batteries.its magnetic which we put on the wall at it held up well. The value for it is well spent. It’s sensor sensitive so it goes on when anything moves. It’s not super bright but great for night use

Highly versatile night light.
This night light has a magnetic base on it so of course, you can place it on anything metal which is great. It also comes with a plastic stand that lets you place the night light in many different places. You can also swivel or angle the light to where you want it to shine and to be more sensitive to picking up motion to trigger the light on. (Some night lights cannot have the motion sensor aimed in a desired direction and therefore trigger when not wanted, for example a running ceiling fan could turn on the night light because it is inside the motion sensor range.) Well made and very portable for use while traveling. Highly recommend.

Works, but it is SO bright!
EDIT: Changing from 2 stars to 4 stars… I think this light will work well in larger spaces, but I found it too bright for a small cruise ship cabin. I am happy to say the company reached out to me and offered a refund (which I declined) because the light does work. It was just too bright for me.The light works as advertised. Motion sensor works great but the light is so bright when it comes on. I wish they had used either fewer LED lights, installed a defuser (sp), or added a dimmer switch.

Great for inside cruise cabin!
This worked beautifully for my cruise cabin! It turned on automaticatically with movement, was magnetic so the base stuck to the cabin wall, you could angle it any direction you wanted it, and you could take the light off easily to serve as a flashlight. Great purchase!You can also use on other surfaces that are not magnetic. It has an inclosed strip to stick to something, but not sure if that works, as I didnât try it.

Motion Sensor doesn’t work
Just received the light yesterday. Easy to open, put batteries in, and turn on. However, there are two issues.Issue #1: When turned on for Auto (motion sensor), there is absolutely no detection. Waving arms, walking by, tossing it in the air and catching it, nothing. It never turns on. The only way for the light to go on is to turn it from Auto to On. Since this is the only real reason for this light, this is why it gets 1 *.Issue #2: The magnet is so weak that the light slides to the ground. Although not tested on a cruise cabin wall, I have tested on the fridge, freezer, and piece of plate steel. All of which hold other magnetic items without issue. I wouldn’t care as much if this was near the floor if the light would turn on. But still, don’t advertise as a magnetic light that can’t hold it’s own weight.Update #1: Updated from 1* to 4*. Issue #1 is resolved. 1* reduction for the magnet still. I guess the sensor on the light monitors brightness in the room. If there is enough light, the motion sensor won’t trigger. If the room is very dark, the sensor is very sensitive and works as designed. This should be documented somewhere so the user knows that it is not “broken”. It is a nice feature because in Auto, the light is not needed if the room is already lit.

This night light is advertised as battery powered but the only way to operate it is via micro USB power. There is no battery access. You cannot open the case to install batteries and it is NOT rechargeable. Do NOT buy.

Did not work. Would not turn on in manual or auto mode after charging for over 24 hrs.
